Genshin Impact: Where to find Agent and Inspector Sacrificial Knife items

Last Updated on: 27th June 2022, 03:41 pm

Sacrificial Knife drops are one of the many ascension materials in Genshin Impact. Here’s how and where you can find them if you need them for your weapon ascensions.

Of particular note, the new 2.7 patch free weapon, Fading Twilight intended for Yelan needs this particular ascension material; so if you’re playing during June 2022, make sure to grab some of these for yourself.

What drops the Sacrificial Knife items in Genshin Impact?

Sacrificial Knife items, whether Agent, Hunter or Inspector tier, are all dropped by Fatui Agents. There are relatively few of these enemies on the map at any given time as they often appear alone, being Elite enemies comparable to Ruin Guards.

The easiest way to track these down to farm some Sacrificial Knives in Genshin Impact is to use the F1 menu during gameplay, then head to the enemies tab. This adventurers notebook tab has the option to navigate to a selected enemy type.

You can use this to track down individual Fatui Agents quite a few times a day. You will have to travel quite a bit as these are individual enemies who do not appear in groups outside of commissions, Leylines and other such temporary events.

Most of them are reasonably close to teleport waypoints, making them easy to track down. As the majority can be found inside Liyue, having fully explored that region will greatly benefit you in farming them.

The track feature was updated in the last patches to automatically highlight the next enemy of the same type location the moment you defeat one, so you can simply navigate to one Fatui Agent this way. The game will handle the rest of directing you to more after each individual agent is defeated.

Be aware that the guidebooks ability to track enemies does not typically extend to every single enemy of a type on the world map. If you’d like to even more thorough than the enemy tracking ‘navigate’ option allows, you should give the Genshin Impact Interactive map a try, as we have previously recommended.
