Genshin Impact: Version 2.7 Delay Compensation
Players of Genshin Impact have been anticipating the arrival of Yelan and Kuki Shinobu in the game’s 2.7 update.
Unfortunately, the update has been delayed, and Version 2.6 now moves to its 3rd phase.
But while the reason for this delay is yet to be disclosed by HoYoverse, most players remain patient and understand that this might have something to do with the COVID-19 situation in China.
So, as you wait and farm for Primogems and ascension materials for characters you’re eyeing in the next update, HoYoverse, as any thoughtful developer does, has some compensation for you.
As they say, “good things come to those who wait.”
When will HoYoverse give away compensation?
Compensation will be given to Travelers every week starting May 11, 2022, 4:00 Server Time, until the Version 2.7 update.
The mail with the rewards will expire after 30 days. Also, it’s important to note that compensation must be claimed before Version 2.6 ends.
At the moment, there is no definite date when Version 2.6 ends and when 2.7 begins.
Who’s eligible for compensation?
You will be compensated if:
- You have reached at least Adventure Rank 5 by May 11, 2022, 4:00 Server Time.

What items will I get?
Below is a list of all the compensation Hoyoverse is giving away every week:
- Primogem x100
- Fragile Resin x1
- Hero’s Wit x7
- Mystic Enhancement Ore x16
- Mora x 120,000
However, if the update comes in before reaching another full week, HoYoverse will adjust the compensation for that final week accordingly.
While these are some awesome items and will surely increase as the delay prolongs, we sure hope that HoYoverse overcomes whatever they’re going through at the moment.
