Genshin Impact: Two boss enemies leak from unintentional Beta data

Genshin Impact leakers are at it again, this time with some leak info on two possible upcoming boss enemies, though not for version 2.8.

The two possible boss leak names for Genshin Impact

While not the most exciting bit of information, the names of upcoming content does suffer a leak now and again in Genshin Impact, and this time around it seems to have been two future bosses thanks to files unintentionally left in the game beta version.

The game files included mentions of an ‘Electro Regisvine’ boss, under a new Chinese version name, and seemingly an entirely new type of boss under the name of ‘Jade-Plumed Terrorshroom’ – as reported by @ProjectCelestia below.

Do be aware that that name is translated, so it is unlikely to be completely correct, but it may give us a vague idea of what we’ll be fighting.

Jade could very much be a hint to a Dendro boss, given a greenish colour isn’t out of place with plantlife. It could also imply that the boss will be Cryo, given that each boss so far has dropped some kind of crystal for character ascension purposes; with ‘Jade Gemstone’ the name used for the icy blue Cryo crystals we collect from bosses currently.

This leaves the presumed Dendro Crystal we haven’t yet seen under an odd name, as Jade would have been a fairly obvious choice for the likely green gemstones we’ll see from Dendro bosses. Or perhaps Dendro bosses won’t have any crystal drops at all.

With Dendro in mind as a theme, it’s not impossible to imagine some kind of Mushroom or Fungus styled boss. The possibility of it being Cryo based on the gemstone however makes it more confusing, but we do already have fire and ice plants in the form of Regisvines already, so I’m sure the devs could pull it off either way.

Speaking of Regisvine bosses;

The Electro Regisvine is less surprising, as much like the Hypostatis, it seems like we’ll be getting one of each element of that particular boss type.

As a reminder as well before anyone gets carried away; these bosses are not expected for version 2.8. Given the slight hint at one of them being Dendro however, it is not impossible to see them arriving with the next major version change patch (3.0), in the new upcoming region Sumeru.

In the meantime, we just have the names to speculate about, so it’s time to sit tight and see if the 2.8 patch and its accompanying next version beta offers any new major hints towards these new and upcoming bosses in the somewhat near future.
