Genshin Impact Tighnari leaks: Rarity, weapon, elemental skill and burst

Any big and successful video game is expected to provide updates regularly, except for its Version 2.7 delay, Genshin Impact does the job.

The hit action role-playing game has made significant content since its release in 2020 and has amassed over 60 million players as of June 2022. Currently, in its Version 2.7, Genshin Impact is expected to have its Version 2.8 in the middle of July. This is following the game’s usual six-week duration per version.

While Version 2.9 seems like a reasonable successor to 2.8, there are no rumors about it. This gives us a reason to believe that there won’t be Version 2.9 at all. If HoYoverse jumps to Version 3.0 after 2.8, it actually won’t be a surprise as we have seen the game developer do this before when they went immediately to 2.0 after Version 1.6.

The change in the version’s foremost number, just like the introduction of Inazuma in 2.0, tells us that huge updates are coming to Genshin Impact. With the leaks that have been circulating online about Sumeru, players can expect that the new nation will be available by then.

This means that there will be new plotlines and events. Additionally, as Sumeru is the Dendro nation, seeing the Dendro element finally becoming playable is expected. The arrival of a new playable element also means new Elemental Reactions and characters. In fact, as early as now, there are already leaks about these upcoming characters.

One such leaked Genshin Impact character is Tighnari. But who is he? What weapon does he use? And what can he do?

What we know about Tighnari in Genshin Impact so far

According to reliable leaker @Ubatcha1, Tignari is a new 5-star character from Sumeru. His weapon of choice is the Bow. Moreover, the leaker said in a tweet that:

‘Tighnari can be described as an “EM – Dendro Ganyu”. His Charged attacks have 2 levels and instead of the “bloom” that Ganyu has, it’s extra arrows that track after hitting. His E/Q center around doing dmg and then enhancing the aforementioned tracking arrows.’

If the leaks turn out to be true, the concept of Tighnari’s Charged Attack is no longer new to players as it seems to be a combination of Ganyu and Yoimiya‘s Charged Attack. While it has two levels just like Ganyu’s, it also tracks enemies if you successfully hit one beforehand just like Yoimiya’s.

Moreover, the leak also states that Tighnari’s Elemental Skill and Burst (E and Q) can deal damage while also enhancing the aforementioned Charged Attacks. However, that’s all that the leaker said about Tighnari’s talents so far. There is currently no information regarding his damage potential and cooldown.

Lastly, while @Ubatcha1 has been proven to provide reliable information in the past, the leaker reminded fans that these leaks are not the character’s full kits nor are they 100% accurate. Therefore, we should always take these with a grain of salt.
