Genshin Impact: Thoma skills and constellations leaked

While players are still amazed by the arrival of the 2.1 update for Genshin Impact, miHoYo doesn’t seem to stop the hype train. New leaks for the 2.2 beta are already surfacing, and they are mostly about Thoma, the next 4-star character who was already officially announced, and his skills.

He will be a Pyro Polearm user, similar to Xiangling. But instead of summoning a pepper-eating bear, his gameplay is all about shielding and buffing his allies. Just as expected from the Protector from Afar.

We also have some videos of his skills. Check those out below:

The first video, courtesy of Dimbreath on Twitter, shows off some of his idle animations and skills. We can see how his shield will look like ingame and his Burst, which gives an extra effect for your party’s attacks.

We also have another video featuring exclusively his Burst:

As for its actual effects, they are also included in-game. Notice that since Thoma is still in beta phase, all of these skills are subjected to change:

Big shoutouts to Holyco, Yami and Esperance from the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor discord server for providing a previous unofficial translation for his skills.

His constellations also have their official descriptions, after being previously leaked and directly translated to English by ImpactYoimiya. They focus on making Thoma use his Skills in a more efficient way:

According to Ubatcha, he might be featured in the second banner of the 2.2 version. This would match with Rosaria’s release, which was also on the second banner of a rerun-only version.

Genshin Impact is currently on the 2.1 version, “Floating World Under the Moonlight”, which features the next two islands in Inazuma and the conclusion of the Archon Quests in the region. Alongside the areas, new bosses, characters and enemies were also introduced.

You can play the game for free on mobile devices (Android and iOS), PCs through both the miHoYo launcher or the Epic Games Store launcher, Playstation 4 and Playstation 5. A Nintendo Switch version is stated to be in development.
