Genshin Impact: The Missing Miner Quest Guide

The Missing Miner is a quest where you will have to help Jinwu find Uncle He. 

As you explore The Underground Mines of The Chasm, you will come across Jinwu who will tell you about a missing miner. 

Some think that the miner, Uncle He, is dead, but Jinwu believes otherwise and asks you to find him.

To find Uncle He and complete the quest, below are the steps you need to follow: 

Step 1: Go or teleport to the waypoint indicated in the map below. 

Follow the path on the right side of the cave, and just continue going right until reaching a cliff. At this point, the screen should say that you’ve reached the Underground Waterway. 

Step 2: Jump and glide down until you reach a tree branch.  

Stop by the tree branch. There is a chance you’ll miss it, so look for the branch shown in the image below. 

Step 3: Enter the branch. 

The branch looks like a tunnel. Enter it until you find a table with the Work Handbook on top. 

Step 4: Read the Work Handbook. 

Once you read the handbook, you will hear whispering from behind you. These whispers come from a man and he will begin talking to you. The man is Uncle He, but something is off about him.

Step 5: Look for mushroom meat. 

Uncle He will ask you if you’ve run out of food and are trapped in that area. He will then ask you to look for mushroom meat. To look for the mushroom meat, navigate and follow the marker on the minimap. 

Step 6: Collect Starshrooms in the area. 

As you collect Starshrooms, the quest will update and tell you to defeat the Floating Fungi that spawns around. Fight the Floating Fungi until a cutscene happens. After that, you will be able to take Uncle He with you. 

Step 7: Talk to Jinwu. 

Go back to the camp and talk to Jinwu. You will discuss what happened to Uncle He, and The Missing Miner is completed once the conversation ends.
