Genshin Impact: The 2.5 beta is already over

2.5 beta over

Most of the leaks for Genshin Impact updates come from the beta tests, which usually end a few days before the update arrives, but the 2.5 beta is already over. The 2.4 update is barely half-complete, but it seems that no more updates will be arriving in the beta.

The information comes from Ubatcha, who has been giving out consistent information about the betas. The 2.5 beta lasted 18 days, and it was the shortest beta since he started tracking. The last shortest beta was 2.4, with only 21 days.

The 2.5 beta is over, what does that mean?

Since the beta tests are over, players have no longer access to the beta server. This means that there will be no more new leaks until the official release. While leaks do help miHoYo by creating hype for the updates, it seems that the decision was made to avoid unwanted footage being made public.

This does not mean that new footage cannot appear. As stated by Ubatcha himself, he may upload new Yae Miko-related content, since it was his goal for her to have the most pre-release footage content.

But what we won’t be getting is new concrete information on the updates. If a new enemy were to be added, we probably won’t be aware of its existence unless we receive information from insiders or until the Special Program Livestream nearing the update.

Beta tests may continue internally, and the final version may contain new changes to Yae’s kit, the Alternate Outfits, or even the new Husk enemies. It wouldn’t be the first miHoYo pushed a last-minute update. Ganyu, for example, was buffed on her release.
