Genshin Impact: Community memes Ayaka 240 day banner

Last Updated on: 25th June 2022, 05:39 am

Due to the delay of the release of Genshin Impact Version 2.7, Kamisato Ayaka will probably have the longest character banner rerun in Genshin Impact history.

After HoYoverse officially announced the extension of Version 2.6, players were quick to notice the countdown of the event wish The Heron’s Court

On the “Time Remaining” section of the said banner, it initially said 240 days which is very unusual for a character banner that usually only takes about three weeks to become available.

While there are those who still want to try their luck and get Ayaka, 240 days is such a long time. It’s more than half a year!

However, the countdown has since been corrected and now says “Until Version 2.6 ends.”

Still, with everything that people can do on the internet, something like this doesn’t just fade away without eliciting quips and memes.

Fans’ quips and memes on the 240-day countdown

The 240-day countdown elicited various reactions from fans, most of them trying to figure out if the countdown is true.

Some Reddit users quipped:

“Ayaka became the standard banner now.”

“Something Raiden‘s banner failed to do. Welp, that’s pretty embarrassing, especially she keeps blabbering her so-called eternity.”

Some memes even circulated online. One of which is about the “eternal” Raiden Shogun having a very short banner run compared to Ayaka’s.

It seems like Ayaka‘s brother Ayato also heard the news.

There’s also a meme on Twitter that goes:

“Yelan wanters logging in and seeing 240 days on Ayaka banner…”

In the clip, we can see Skinner from Ratatouille, shocked after reading a letter.

While most made fun of Ayaka‘s incredibly long banner rerun, others were more serious and asked players to be more considerate and understand the current COVID-19 situation in China where HoYoverse’s headquarters is located.

One Twitter user said:

“genshin// guys i know ayaka having a banner that lasts like 240 days is a lot but considering the situation the devs are living in right now PLEASE do not blame them. covid cases are spiking incredibly high rn and they literally cannot do anything abt it. give them a break i beg”

This means that while the countdown has been fixed, there is still no definite timeline for when Ayaka‘s banner rerun will end, and the 240-day countdown is still a possibility.
