Genshin Impact: New rumors for the next future updates
With the official reveal of the next banners’ characters but no beta started yet, many would expect that Genshin leakers wouldn’t have much content outside of some of the datamined stuff from pre-download. And yet, some new rumors, while not 100% reliable, have just been dropped by Ubatcha.
The exact source is not revealed, but all of them are labelled as “questionable”, which means you should take an extra grain of salt while scrolling through them. They include information about future events, upcoming characters and story chapters and others. None of them are about the 2.6 version, but about content in the upcoming patches.
All the rumors for the future Genshin Impact updates
All of these were made in separate tweets, allowing for some speculation in the comments. Some of these rumors have some support, while others are somewhat new, and could be pretty much fake.
Without further ado, here’s the complete “questionable” information drop:
- Kuki Shinobu is Electro Sword
- Itto has story involvement in 2.7, He will be travelling to Liyue for this
- Yanfei is involved in Yelan’s story
- 2.8 has the Ludi Harpastum festival
- We will meet a Fatui Harbinger (that we haven’t seen in game yet) sometime soon
- Unreconciled Stars Part 2 sometime soon
- Childe is going to have some story relevance again sometime soon
- 3 hangout events in a row in 2.7, 2.8 and 3.0. All involving the new 4 star in the patch + existing 4 stars.
- 3.0 will see the release of a Male (Gender) 5 Star character.

The Male Character mentioned in the previous post is someone who holds a position of relatively high authority in a specific organization
Some of them seem somewhat dispersed but could fit with what we’ve seen until now in the game and through other rumors, such as Yelan being introduced soon. Yanfei will already receive voice lines for Shinobu, so having her meet Yelan is very feasible too.
Shinobu is being expected for 2.7, and should soon have her official reveal by Hoyoverse. Having an Itto rerun for her debut wouldn’t be unexpected, but as Ubatcha said, having a character appearing in the version does not confirm a rerun.
Unreconciled Stars is remembered as one of the best events in the game, as it introduced Scaramouche and had amazing rewards, so a second part would be very appreciated. Having another Fatui presented through it would not be out of the question. Childe’s relevance could also be related to it.
The other rumors are more like shots in the dark, as we know we’ll receive new characters and hangouts with time, so we’ll need to wait for Genshin Impact’s future updates to actually confirm any of them.

Genshin Impact is currently on its 2.5 version, “When the Sakura Blooms”, which brought the new playable character Yae Miko along with some character reruns, new story quests, events, weapons, and enemies, including a new Weekly Boss.
