Genshin Impact: New leaks regarding The Chasm and Enkanomiya

More information about two of the future areas in Genshin Impact, The Chasm, and Enkanomiya, have appeared. They came from Uncle Dumb Dumb, one of the most prominent leakers in the Chinese discussion forums.

His previous leaks and information have been mostly reliable, as he has been the one to, for example, reveal the Raiden Shogun’s model before other leaked images confirmed that it was, indeed, the Electro Archon.

Since then, he has been giving out some questionable leaks, but that usually turns out to be real. And earlier today, he commented on the rumors of one of the upcoming areas possibly being introduced during the 2.4 version.

Comments on The Chasm and Enkanomiya areas

The leaker Ubatcha has translated Uncle Dumb Dumb’s most recent post, which was already deleted, possibly by himself. He talks about the next area to be released (which is not confirmed yet) and about some of the future characters.

First, he dismisses any leaks for the release date of the new area, either The Chasm or Enkanomiya, as fakes. The release date is still to be decided, and we’ll probably only be sure before its official release.

Rumors suggest that The Chasm will be the game’s introduction to the Dendro element, while Enkanomiya, on the other hand, is supposedly accessible through the vortex right in front of the Sangonomiya Temple in Watatsumi Island.

From all of this, it makes it more plausible to believe that Enkanomiya will be the first area to arrive. It would also make a good link with Kokomi’s character quest and other World Quests around Inazuma, such as the Moon-Bathed Deep questline.

He also alludes to things like a rerun for the Golden Archipelago Islands and the release of Kamisato Ayato, followed by the releases of male and female characters, which are yet to be decided. 

If the current leaks are right, Shenhe is set to be released right after Arataki Itto, so the female character could be Yae Miko or even Itto’s sidekick, Kuki Shinobu. 

As for the male character, the only Inazuman name that could come to mind is Shikanoin Heizou, who is mentioned in some characters’ voice lines, such as Kujou Sara and Thoma. But we don’t have any confirmed information for the release of any of them.

Genshin Impact is currently on its 2.2 version, “Into the Perilous Labyrinth of Fog”, which introduces a whole new area to explore, as well as new enemies, weapons, events, and the return of previously limited characters and gadgets.
