Genshin Impact Leaks: Alhaitham release date
Even before his first in-game appearance in Chapter 3, Act 1 of the Archon Quests, Alhaitham already made quite a lot of fans. The upcoming character’s design was leaked, along with many others, before Sumeru was released. With this, he was compared to Su from Honkai Impact 3rd, a video game under the same developer, HoYoverse.
It is widely recognized that Alhaitham is going to be a Dendro Sword character, as he can be seen with the Dendro Vision dangling from his shoulder and was previously shown to be using the sword. However, little is currently known about what he can do on the battlefield.
While no leaks at the moment reveal what his talents and abilities are, there are already some speculations regarding his release date.

When will Alhaitham be released?
It was previously believed that Alhaitham would be the Yae Miko of Sumeru in a way that he won’t be released until much later into the 3.0 versions. However, more recent leaks suggest that he would be released in Version 3.4.
A recent tweet from known leaker Plustle says that Alhaitham will “certainly” be released in 3.4. This information is reportedly from Uncle Lu.
Not much later, this tweet by Plustle was retweeted by SaveYourPrimos, another known leaker, tagging this information as reliable.
If this is indeed the case and following Genshin Impact‘s patch update schedule, Alhaitham will be released as a playable character around January 18, 2023. However, although the leak is tagged as reliable, this is still subject to change as there is still no official announcement from HoYoverse regarding the matter.

Alhaitham is a character who firmly believes in logic and science. He is most likely named after Hasan Ibn Al-Haytham, a scholar during the Islamic Golden Age referred to as the “father of modern optics.”
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed by miHoyo, also known as HoYoverse. The game is available on PC, PS4, PS5, iOS, and Android, while a release on Nintendo Switch is currently in the works.
