Layla, the perpetually sleep-deprived Rtawahist student of the Akademiya, is here! However, the 4-star Cryo Genshin Impact character isn’t just all about studying and sleeping, she has time for some cooking too! In fact, her specialty, the Layla Special Dish, is called the Extravagant Slumber.
Without any explanation required, the dish’s name just screams Layla. But how do you cook Extravagant Slumber? What are its effects? What is its base recipe? What are its ingredients?
Layla’s specialty. The scattered nuts are like stars dotted in the deep and quiet night sky. After just one bite, your body and mind after a day’s work suddenly felt relaxed and peaceful. When you told Layla about that feeling, she showed a mix of expression of joy and regret –

Layla Special Dish: Extravagant Slumber
This Layla Special Dish has the following effect/s:
- Restores 26% of Max HP to the selected character and regenerates 570 HP every 5s for 30s.
Like any other special dish, the Layla Special Dish can be obtained randomly when Layla prepares a certain regular dish. In this case, the regular dish required is Rose Custard. You can buy the recipe for Rose Custard from Enteka for 5000 Mora. She’s located inside the Puspa Café in Sumeru, the one with the Teapot icon near Katheryne.
Looking at the Extravagant Slumber, it appears to be some sort of a sundae or ice cream. Well, that isn’t surprising, considering that Layla is one of the several Cryo characters in Genshin Impact.
Rose Custard
When cooked perfectly, this dish has the following effect/s:
- Restores 22% of Max HP and regenerates 470 HP every 5s for 30s.
A dessert made from fermented milk. Once the milk is fermented and filtered into yogurt, stir sugar in before garnishing with dried roses and chopped nuts. In the beginning, this dish was only popular among adventurers and traveling merchants, but now, it is served as breakfast and a tea-time dessert across Sumeru.

Both dishes, Rose Custard and the Layla Special Dish, can be prepared by using Milk x2, Sumeru Rose x2, and Sugar x1.

While creating Special Dishes do not unlock any achievements, they reveal a little something about each character. Moreover, special dishes are better to use in battle than regular ones.
