Kagotsurube Isshin, also known as the Cursed Blade, is a 4-star sword in Genshin Impact.

This famed blade was born in a nation to the far north. But in the name of ”Isshin,” it was stained with many a dark deed on its home-bound journey.

Where to get Kagotsurube Isshin

This 4-star sword is obtainable as a reward by completing Kaedehara Kazuha‘s Story Quest “Acer Palmatum Chapter: Act I.”

It is important to note that since this weapon is a quest reward, there is currently no other means for obtaining a duplicate.

Kagotsurube Isshin skill effects

This sword’s skill is called Isshin Art Clarity:

When a Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attack hits an opponent, it will whip up a Hewing Gale, dealing AoE DMG equal to 180% of ATK and increasing ATK by 15% for 8s. This effect can be triggered once every 8s.

As there is currently no other means for obtaining another copy of the Cursed Blade, there is still no information on its weapon refinement.

Recommended characters

With its ATK% bonus stat and AoE skill effect, Kagotsurube Isshin is generally a pretty decent weapon for any sword-wielding character. However, to maximize its potential, it is more suited for both main and sub-DPS characters. This is a good alternative if you don’t have the signature weapons for Ayato and Ayaka, which are Haran Geppaku Futsu and Mistsplitter Reforged, respectively.

This can also work for Jean and Qiqi as their healing capacity scales off with their ATK stat.

While this is not the ideal option for Kazuha whose signature weapon is Freedom-Sworn, you can still experiment with it if you play lore-wise as the sword was crafted using the Kaedehara Clan’s bladesmithing style.
