1. The Ruin Serpent creates Oozing Concretions around the area.

It is important to remove these Oozing Concretions because if you don’t, the Ruin Serpent will draw power from the Dark Mud and initiate a devastating attack. This attack is so powerful that if you’re not careful, your entire party can be easily wiped out.

To remove the Oozing Concretions, you need to use the Lumenstone Adjuvant, which needs to be at least level 2. If the gadget hasn’t reached level 2 yet, you may still try forming a party of your strongest characters and take down the boss as quickly as possible.

2. The Lumenstone Adjuvant’s energy diminishes over time.

It’s important to note that using the Lumenstone Adjuvant’s Blooming Light on the Oozing Concretions is not unlimited. The concretions will eventually diminish the gadget’s energy.

To restore the Lumenstone Adjuvant’s energy, you need to wait for yellow crystals to appear on the battlefield. By destroying them, the gadget’s energy will be replenished.

3. Removing all the Oozing Concretions will temporarily incapacitate the Ruin Serpent

If this happens, you must quickly grab the opportunity to deal optimal damage.

4. The Ruin Serpent moves around a lot and has high Physical DMG resistance.

With the Ruin Serpent having 70% Physical DMG resistance, using ranged non-physical DPS characters is highly recommended in taking it down. This way, it will be easier to hit, and more damage will be dealt.

Aside from the Oozing Concretions, there is nothing particularly tricky about the Ruin Serpent. The most important thing to remember in fighting this boss is to always remove the concretions before they become too overwhelming for the party to handle.
