Genshin Impact: How to take pictures of animal behavior for Snapshots Day 3

While there are a lot of beautiful views and fantastic creatures in Sumeru, another thing you might want to observe is the animal behavior of its diverse fauna. And if you’re into wildlife photography, Genshin Impact‘s Snapshots Day 3 gives you this experience.
Position yourself afar, observe animals through your Exquisite Kamera, and snap a perfect shot! All these with the risk of getting attacked by the mighty beasts. Isn’t it exciting?
Now, if you’re having difficulty taking these photos, you’ve come to the right place. We’ll give you some tips. But first, ensure you know how to access this sub-event and mark the right locations on your map. You can do this by following the steps below:
- Head to the Paimon Menu.
- Click Events.
- Go to Graven Innocence.
- Choose Roaming the Jungle.
- Choose Snapshots Day III.
- Click Take Pictures.
By doing this, you should know the exact locations of the animals you need to take pictures of. However, if you don’t know what they look like, check out a preview of each of the three animals with their different behaviors below.
Moreover, be sure to equip the Exquisite Kamera given to you at the earlier point of the Graven Innocence quest. Once you’re ready, let’s head to the jungle and take some pictures!
Take Pictures of the Shaggy Sumpter Beasts’ animal behavior

Once you spot Shaggy Sumpter Beasts, take pictures of their idle behaviors first. These idle behaviors (eating and resting) are easy to capture. Just focus your Exquisite Kamera lens on the animal to take pictures of these behaviors and wait. You should know when to capture the moment since the game will tell you if a specific action is one of the required behaviors.
After capturing these idle behaviors, provoke a Shaggy Sumpter Beast by attacking it. You can do this by attacking from afar with a bow user or attacking the animal head on. Once provoked, quickly take a picture of the animal. You should be able to capture the “attacking” behavior this way.
Note that you can take damage from these attacks, so you might consider defeating the animal. You might also want to bring a healer, shielder, or leave the area once all the needed pictures are taken.
Take Pictures of the Spinocrocodiles’ animal behavior

While Shaggy Sumpter Beasts are usually docile unless provoked, Spinocrocodiles are aggressive. Therefore, you must keep some distance to capture their idle behaviors (resting by the shores and opening their mouths in water).
Moreover, the objective requires you to take a picture of the animal by the shores and in the water, so it might take a lot of waiting time if you focus on one Spinocrocodile. Instead, observe one of them by the shores and one in the water through your Exquisite Kamera. You should know when to snap a photo since the game will tell you if a specific action is one of the required behaviors.
Once done with the idle behaviors, provoke a Spinocrocodile to capture its “attacking” behavior. Again, you can do so via close combat or from afar with a bow user.
Take Pictures of the Rishboland Tigers’ Animal Behavior

Rishboland Tigers are territorial animals and might attack intruders. However, they can also be playful. They like games such as playing with their own tails. They also like caring for themselves and are often seen washing their faces.
To capture their idle behaviors (washing their faces sitting and playing with their tails), observe them through your Exquisite Kamera lens from afar. You should know the right moment to take a photo since the game will give you a prompt about the required behavior.
Take note, however, that “washing their faces sitting” can usually be observed nearby bodies of water, so you might consider looking for a Rishboland Tiger near a pond or river to take this picture.
Lastly, provoke the animal to attack you and take a picture of this “attacking” behavior.
