Genshin Impact: How to solve the Electro Sword puzzles in Inazuma

Among the new Genshin Impact content introduced with Inazuma, new puzzles were added, one type of which uses a stationary electro sword.

What to do with the Electro Swords in Genshin Impact

You can be forgiven for not realising that the Electro swords that dot the landscape of Inazuma are actually puzzles in Genshin Impact – they don’t seem to do a whole lot when interacted with, and they’re often alone in open areas with little to no hints of what you might be meant to do with them.

There is however a way to solve these and get rewards out of it.

First of all, naturally, you’ll need to find an Electro Sword to solve, of course, it’d be difficult to resolve any of the puzzles in Genshin Impact without being near them for a start.

As with many of the smaller details in Inazuma, you’ll need an Electrograna to solve this little puzzle. Look around for a thunder sakura bough to collect an Electrograna. If you can’t see any nearby, there’s a good chance there’s one hidden somewhere close. Still, if it’s not obvious where one is, and you have a fairly well upgraded Sacred Sakura for the perks, you can actually teleport somewhere else that does have a thunder sakura bough, grab the Electrograna, and teleport back to the Electro Sword you’re trying to solve.

No matter the method used to obtain one, once you have one you simply need to interact with the Electro Sword. Before you do that though, make sure you’re ready for a fight.

Unlike many of the other Puzzles in Genshin Impact that simply revolve around finding the solution, an Electro sword will immediately spawn one of the native Inazuman enemies to fight you when you do “solve it” using an Electrograna.

Defeat the enemy or enemies spawned, and you’ll net yourself a reward chest.
