If you’ve wandered Inazuma at all in Genshin Impact, you’ve probably found these Electro compass puzzles before. Here’s how you solve them.

How to solve Electro Compass puzzles in Genshin Impact

Electro Compass puzzles can be solved in a number of ways in Genshin Impact, but these methods are all ultimately ways of doing the same thing. To solve the puzzle, you have to redirect the turning needle section of the puzzle towards the large outward-pointing spike on the base. If you can turn it correctly, the base layer of the Electro compass will light up – light them all up at the same time, and you’ll have solved that puzzle in Genshin Impact, typically finding yourself some nice rewards in the process.

Here is an example of the needle having arrived over the correct section of the electro compass base, thus lighting up with a purple glow to show that this part is finished.

So how exactly do you move the needle section? Well, as long as you’re affected by an Electro status or have an Electrograna with you, the compass needle will automatically turn towards you if you’re close enough to it. This cannot be prevented except leaving its range, or losing the electro effect, so you may have to plan how to handle some of these puzzles out, as they will often overlap in range, causing you to accidentally edit the way one is pointing while solving another.

Find a Electrogranum from a thunder sakura bough as shown above, and you’ll be able to use it to solve any of the electro compass puzzles you come across in Genshin Impact. If you can’t manage to find one though, swapping to a character such as Beidou who can easily create an electro effect will also just work as well.
