Genshin Impact: How to get the KFC Wings

Earlier this year, during the Genshin Impact x KFC collaboration, Chinese players received the exclusive Wings of Feasting wind glider, also known as the KFC wings. By eating in the participating restaurants, they received a code to redeem their glider.

Since then, overseas players requested miHoYo to bring the same collaboration outside of China, since not only did the KFC versions of Noelle and Diluc look great, but the glider was also beautiful.

And after months of waiting, the KFC wings are finally here! The question is that players didn’t expect them to be available in the way they are. 

How to get the KFC Wings

The exclusive wind glider is available through Genshin Impact’s new event, “Adventurer’s Guild on Twitch”. From November 25 to December 8, players can gift selected streamers with two months of Tier 1 subscriptions in order to receive the redeeming code.

You need to be at Adventure Rank 10 or higher in order to use it, and it contains 30,000 Mora, Jade Parcels, 2 Tonkotsu Ramen, 2 Sautéed Matsutake, and the main feature, the Wings of Feasting wind glider.

It is important to notice that subs given through Amazon Prime won’t count during the event’s duration. More details can be found in the Hoyolab forum official post. The list of eligible streamers will be available in the same post on November 24. 

And of course, players weren’t exactly happy with miHoYo’s approach for giving this reward to the rest of the world. No comments have been made on bringing the KFC collab overseas, and many expected to get the KFC wings for free, but that’s not how it will work.

While Chinese players could enjoy a Genshin-themed fast food in their country, others need to sub to a streamer they don’t even watch only to receive the wings. With all of the negative responses, we may hope that miHoYo goes back on this strange decision.

Genshin Impact is currently on its 2.2 version, “Into the Perilous Labyrinth of Fog”, which introduces a whole new area to explore, as well as new enemies, weapons, events, and the return of previously limited characters and gadgets.

You can play the game for free on mobile devices including Android, iOS, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, and Pc on both miHoYo’s official launcher and Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch version is stated to be in development.
