Genshin Impact: Diluc’s Ascension and Talent Materials and Where to Find Them
Diluc is one of the 5-star characters you can get from the Standard Banner. With easy-to-use skills, he is very popular and is among the best DPS characters in the game.
Of course, like everybody else, Diluc needs Mora and EXP to level up. So, if you are eyeing Diluc, you might want to save your EXP-rasing items (Wanderer’s Advice, Adventurer’s Experience, and Hero’s Wit), which you can get from quests and chests.
As for ascending Diluc, below are the amount of EXP and Mora required:
Level | EXP | Mora |
1-20 | 120,175 | 24,200 |
20-40 | 578,325 | 115,800 |
40-50 | 579,100 | 116,000 |
50-60 | 854,125 | 171,000 |
60-70 | 1,195,925 | 239,200 |
70-80 | 1,611,875 | 322,400 |
80-90 (max) | 3,423,125 | 684,800 |
Although fairly easy to level up and ascend, many players have trouble looking for Diluc’s preferred materials in Teyvat.

Diluc’s Ascension Materials
Agnidus Agate
Since he is a Pyro character, Diluc will need a certain amount of Agnidus Agate with each ascension. You may find this gemstone by completing daily commissions, defeating bosses, or purchasing from the souvenir shops for sigils.
The first shop you can access is Marjorie’s shop in Monstadt.
Moreover, the bosses that drop Agnidus Agate include Pyro Regisvine, Pyro Hypostasis, Primo Vishap, Andrius, and Azhdaha.
Recruit’s Insignia
Recruit’s Insignias are enemy drops. They can be collected by defeating Fatui enemies found in the world. If you have already encountered any of them, you can locate the skirmishes by selecting them from the Enemies menu. Just click the Navigate option and you’ll know where to go. But if you have no idea where to find them, the north shore of Dragonspine is one area, to begin with.
Everflame Seed
This seed can be acquired after defeating Pyro Regisvines, a boss which can be found near Tianqiu Valley in Liyue.
Small Lamp Grass
Like other characters, Diluc will need this grass for each ascension. It’s pretty common and can be found around Mondstadt. There are a lot of them near Wolvendom and Whispering Woods.

Diluc’s Talent Materials
Ascensions are needed to help your characters become stronger, but leveling up their talents is just as necessary.
Below are the items required to level up Diluc’s talents.
Books of Resistance
These talent books can be found in the Forsaken Rift domain every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.
Trounce Materials and Crowns of Insight
You can only acquire Trounce Materials when you complete the Stormterror’s Lair domain and collect Dvalin’s Plume.
On the other hand, Crowns of Insight can be obtained via limited-time events, from the Frostbearing Tree, and Sacred Sakura.
The current owner of the Dawn Winery and a nobleman of high esteem in Monstadt, Diluc is not only popular in the world of Teyvat but also among Genshin Impact fans. This isn’t only because he can wield claymores and clubs or because of his cool appearance, but because with his stats, he’s a character worthy to be included in your party. So, give him a try, and look for his Ascension and Talent Materials!
