Genshin Impact: Cyno’s Ascension Materials and Locations

Genshin Impact - Cyno's Ascension Materials

With its recently concluded Special Program, HoYoverse has announced what’s in store for players in Genshin Impact Version 3.1. This includes the arrival of new and exciting characters.

One of these characters is Cyno, a young man who first appeared as the face of Sumeru in the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail. As the first male 5-star Electro character, Cyno is definitely a welcome addition to the game’s roster of playable characters. With the new Dendro Elemental Reactions, specifically Aggravate, Cyno might bring something new to the meta.

We’re pretty sure that you’re as excited as we are about this new character’s arrival to Genshin Impact. So, if you want to add him to your team soon, you might consider farming for Cyno’s ascension materials as early as now. By the time he gets released, all you got to do is give him everything he needs.

On the other hand, if you’re wondering where you can find Cyno’s ascension materials, check them out below:

This group of gems is used for ascending Electro characters. You can obtain them primarily by fighting Normal Bosses and Weekly Bosses.

Normal Bosses that drop Vajrada Amethyst– Coral Defenders
– Electro Hypostasis
– Electro Regisvine
– Primo Geovishap
– Thunder Manifestation
Weekly Bosses that drop Vajrada Amethyst– Beneath the Dragon-Queller
– Confront Stormterror
– End of the Oneiric Euthymia
– Enter the Golden House

Note that the Normal Boss Electro Regisvine also drops the ascension material called THUNDERCLAP FRUITCORE. Therefore, we recommend that you farm for the Vajrada Amethyst and the Thunderclap Fruitcore at the same time by challenging the Electro Regisvine located in Mawtiyima Forest, Sumeru.

If you’re new to the game, you can craft higher rarity gems or convert one gem into another via Alchemy. You can do this by interacting with the crafting benches in the different cities in Teyvat.

Among Cyno’s ascension materials, this is the only one that cannot be obtained as of writing. An upcoming local specialty in Sumeru, Scarab will become available when the desert area of the region is released in Genshin Impact Version 3.1. So, if you’re planning to pull for Cyno soon, you might want to focus on other Cyno’s Ascension Materials first.

Divining, Sealed, and Forbidden Curse Scrolls are dropped by Samachurls. If you’re running low on these scrolls and are unsure where you can find Samachurls, you can check the enemy’s location by going to the Paimon Menu > Adventurer Handbook > Enemies > Samachurl > Navigate.

You can also craft higher rarity scrolls via Alchemy.
