Genshin Impact: Blazin’ Trails Walkthrough and Puzzle Guide

Blazin’ Trails is a quest in Genshin Impact that takes place in the Golden Apple Archipelago during the Summertime Odyssey event. This quest focuses on Xinyan‘s lore and is, therefore, filled with music and fun!

If you’re having a hard time completing Blazin’ Trails, you’ve come to the right place. In this article, we have outlined the steps for you to complete it, including how you can solve the Melodic puzzles and find the water veins.

Blazin’ Trails is broken down into three parts. Check them out below.

Blazin’ Trails Part 1 Walkthrough and Puzzle Guide

Step 1: Wait or change the time to “06:00 – 24:00 Tomorrow.”

Step 2: Talk to everyone and head over to the island in the north as indicated on your map.

Step 3: You will be transported to Xinyan’s domain once you go near the drum at the marked location.

Step 4: “Hit” the drum for the platforms to move.

Step 5: Jump on the platforms to reach the next island.

Step 6: On the island, adjust the orientation of the Melodic Bloom in the image below. You can also check out our general guidelines for solving Melodic Harp puzzles here.

Step 7: “Perform” on the Melodic Harp. The sound will find its way to the last Melodic Bloom and create a wind current.

Step 8: Glide to the island to trigger a cutscene.

Step 9: Head over to the next island.

Step 10: Step on the Melodic Pedals to awaken the Melodic Harp nearby. Make sure that you step on all the Melodic Pedals without skipping any panel or moving back.

Step 11: “Perform” on the newly awakened Melodic Harp to unlock the chest that contains a key.

Step 12: Adjust the orientation of the Melodic Bloom in the image below and “perform” on the Melodic Harp again. This will create a wind current.

Step 13: Head over to where the wind current leads you and enter the door using the key.

Step 14: Follow the path marked on your map to find the big flower called Blazing Heart. There will be a cutscene and you will be teleported outside.

Step 15: Follow the trail of water until you see a pile of rocks.

Step 16: Destroy the pile of rocks using any attack. However, like mineral nodes, Geo and Claymore attacks are more effective against the pile.

Step 17: Continue following the trail of water until you reach a blocked path. To clear the way, adjust the orientation of the Melodic Bloom in the image below and “perform” on the nearby Melodic Harp.

Step 18: Head inside and continue following the trail of water.

Step 19: Destroy the pile of rocks.

Step 20: Head outside and continue following the trail of water. The trail leads you up to the mountain. You can simply climb the mountain by climbing/walking on the big roots around the area.

Step 21: Remove the roots covering the water flow by performing on the Melodic Harp. However, you need to adjust the Melodic Blooms similar to the image below where “1” is facing upward and “2” is facing the said roots.

Step 22: Obtain the Glacial Spring Water.

Blazin’ Trails Part 2 Walkthrough and Puzzle Guide

Step 1: Go back to Xinyan’s domain by touching the drum.

Step 2: Give the Glacial Spring Water to Blazing Heart.

Step 3: Enter the new door provided by Blazing Heart.

Step 4: Learn more about Xinyan’s lore by approaching a series of doors.

Step 4: “Perform” on the Melodic Harp. There is no need to adjust the orientation of the Melodic Blooms.

Step 5: Follow the path inside the newly opened area until you find the door of Little Fei.

Step 6: Look for Little Meng and Little Lulu on the left and right side of the docks. Their locations are marked on the map.

Step 7: “Perform” on the Melodic Harp to clear the path. There is no need to adjust the orientation of the Melodic Blooms.

Step 8: Follow the path until you reach Xinyan’s house.

Step 9: Enter Xinyan’s house.

Blazin’ Trails Part 3 Walkthrough and Puzzle Guide

Step 1: Follow the two (2) trails of water in Broken Isle. We have marked paths 1 (Steps 2-6) and 2 (Steps 7-11) in the map below:

Step 2: For Path 1, follow the trail until you find a Melodic Harp puzzle surrounded by enemies.

Step 3: Adjust the Melodic Blooms as indicated in the images below.

Step 4: “Perform” on the Melodic Harp to clear the roots with the G-clef on it.

Step 5: Continue following the trail by climbing up the mountain until you find a pile of rocks.

Step 6: Destroy the pile of rocks to clear the water vein.

Step 7: For Path 2, follow the trail until you find roots with a G-clef on it and a Melodic Harp puzzle.

Step 8: Adjust the orientation of one Melodic Bloom pointed in the image below.

Step 9: “Perform” on the Melodic Harp nearby. Doing so should release two (2) G-clefs that would hit the roots.

Step 10: Continue following the trail by climbing up the mountain until you find a pile of rocks.

Step 11: Destroy the pile of rocks to clear the water vein.

Step 12: Go back to the drum in order to enter Xinyan’s domain again and consult Blazing Heart.

Step 13: “Perform” on the Melodic Harp near Blazing Heart to create a wind current. There is no need to adjust the orientation of the Melodic Blooms.

Step 14: Glide up using the wind current and go to the area pointed in the image below.

Step 15: “Hit” the drum to make a wooden bridge appear.

Step 16: Follow the path until you meet the big Cryo flower named Frozen Soul. You will be teleported back to the Broken Isle after the cutscene.

Step 17: Go to the area marked on your map. You can simply use the nearby teleport waypoint here.

Step 18: Once you reach the area, plant Frozen Soul’s petals.

Step 19: Go back to the drum, interact with it, and click “Change Mountain Style.”

Step 20: Follow the two (2) trails of water in Broken Isle. We have marked paths 1 (Steps 21-23) and 2 (Steps 24-30) on the map below:

Step 21: For Path 1, follow the trail until you find a pile of rocks. Destroy it.

Step 22: Use any Anemo attack on the four-leaf clover pinwheel nearby to create a wind current that will lead you to the top of the mountain.

Step 23: Follow the trail until you find a pile of rocks. Destroy it to clear the water vein.

Step 24: For Path 2, follow the trail until you find a Melodic Harp and Melodic Pedal puzzle.

Step 25: Solve the Melodic Pedal Puzzle first to awaken the Melodic Harp. Make sure that you step on all the Melodic Pedals without skipping any panel or moving back.

Step 26: “Perform” on the nearby Melodic Harp to clear the roots. There is no need to adjust the orientation of the Melodic Blooms.

Step 27: Once the roots are cleared, make the Melodic Bloom (the one beside the cleared roots) look upward by adjusting its orientation.

Step 28: “Perform” on the Melodic Harp again. Doing so will create a wind current.

Step 29: Glide up and continue following the trail until you find a pile of rocks.

Step 30: Destroy the pile of rocks to clear the water vein.

Step 31: Go back to the drum and enter Xinyan’s domain again. You’ll be transported back to Broken Isle after a cutscene.

Step 32: Head over to the area marked on your map to witness Xinyan’s final cutscene. You can use the teleport waypoint for easier access.

Step 33: Go to the northwestern islands of the Fatui encampment that’s marked on your map and check the Fatui machine.

Step 34: Head over to the next island marked on your map to find Fischl and Oz.
