Genshin Impact bags “Still Playing Award” at the Golden Joysticks

Genshin Impact - Golden Joystick Awards - Still Playin Award - Klee

Two years after its release, Genshin Impact has once again proven its worth by receiving the “Still Playing Award” during the 40th Golden Joystick Awards.

The popular action role-playing game developed by HoYoverse managed to rise above titles from long-time fan-favorite franchises, including The Sims 4, Pokemon Go, and Final Fantasy XIV.

From the name of the award itself, it is undeniable that Genshin Impact has a massive player base and will most likely stay as one of the best video games in the market. In fact, Golden Joystick’s tweet says that “the gamers have spoken” and that “you can’t stop playing Genshin Impact.”

Also known as the People’s Gaming Awards, the Golden Joystick Awards is an annual video game award ceremony that acknowledges the best video games based on different categories. The votes for this ceremony originally came from the British general public but are now consolidated globally.

Genshin Impact thanks players for the “Still Playing Award”

The official Twitter page of Genshin Impact has recently reposted Golden Joystick’s tweet, thanking its player base. However, there has been no announcement of any freebies, as the majority of the fans who are “still playing” the game expected.

Because of this, most of the replies from the player base are asking the game to give them some “freemogems” or free Primogems, the game’s premium currency. To this, Genshin Impact is yet to give a response.
