Genshin Impact: Any new leaks on Varka?

Whether you’re new to Genshin Impact or have been traveling all over Teyvat for a while now, you’ve no doubt already heard about Varka. Sure, you still haven’t met the man, but his name is almost always spoken in Mondstadt that it almost feels like you’ve actually met him.
Well, having his name spoken a lot in the City of Freedom is not surprising at all as Varka is the well-respected current Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius. With his title “Knight of Boreas,” he is considered one, if not the strongest person in Mondstadt. Tartaglia/Childe even calls him the “titan of the Knights of Favonius” and wants to have a duel with him someday.

However, Varka is on an expedition at the moment, leaving Jean the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius months before the Traveler set foot on Teyvat. Considering that the Grand Master of the Knights will have to go personally to this expedition, it can be said that this is highly important and potentially dangerous. But, as Barbara says in one of her voice lines, “The Grand Master is none other than the Knight of Boreas, of course, they will be fine!”
New leaks about Varka
With everything that’s said about him, it’s easy to say that Varka will also be playable in the future. However, it’s been a while since rumors about him being playable have circulated. Has HoYoverse forgotten about him or are the developers just trying to make his reveal more intriguing? Will we finally meet him in the biggest and most anticipated Version 3.0?
Recently, reliable leaker @Ubatcha1 mentioned him in a series of tweets about possible events in Version 3.0, saying:
“Some more Varka related lore in the near future.
This doesn’t indicate his release however (see next tweet).”
The leaker also said that:
“This means we may be seeing another mondstadt character who has a decent chance of being playable.”
While @Ubatcha1 specifically says that these tweets do not indicate the Grand Master’s release, these still give hope to Varka fans.

As the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, it is expected that Varka will be a big middle aged man with a muscular physique, a playable character design that the game currently lacks. Itto is currently the only character that has the potential to look huge based on lore, but the game has undeniably toned down his muscle mass during his release.
