Genshin Impact: How to get “The Catch” and its special refinement material
The Catch is a free 4-star polearm obtainable from the Inazuma Fishing Association in Genshin Impact. While this weapon has a relatively low ATK stat, its Energy Recharge bonus effect and Skill, which focuses on maximizing your Elemental Burst DMG, make it one of the best free weapons in the game.
However, there is a catch if you want to get The Catch. This polearm is a free weapon because no real-world or in-game (i.e. Primogems and Fates) currency is involved in obtaining it, but there are quite a couple of in-game resources that you need to gather before you can get your hands on it.

How to Get “The Catch” and its refinement materials in Genshin Impact
As mentioned earlier, you can get this weapon from Kujirai Momiji of the Inazuma Fishing Association. However, just like other items in each region’s Fishing Association, you will first need to give the association some fish in exchange for the weapon.

Aside from The Catch, you can also get the weapon’s special refinement material, Ako’s Sake Vessel, by exchanging fish with the Inazuma Fishing Association. You can obtain up to 4 pieces of this refinement material. Below are the fish that you need to obtain x1 Ako’s Sake Vessel.

To reach the maximum refinement of The Catch and take advantage of its optimal Skill effects, you need to get all of the available Ako’s Sake Vessel from the Inazuma Fishing Association, which totals to Pufferfish x40, Bitter Pufferfish x40, and Raimei Angelfish x12 (excluding those that you need for the weapon itself).
How soon can you get “The Catch” and its refinement materials
It may take around two weeks on average to get The Catch and its refinement materials. This is because waiting for fish to respawn will take up to three (3) days in real life.
However, collecting the fish necessary for The Catch can be done faster by visiting your friends’ world using the Co-op Mode. This way, it’s even possible to get the required fish in one day!
Moreover, you can always put the 4-star Pyro character Thoma in your party and take advantage of his Talent, Snap and Swing, which gives you a 20% chance of getting twice the number of fish while fishing in Inazuma.
