Genshin Impact: All Dendro Characters (Updated January 2023)

The word “dendro” originated from the Greek word “dendron” which means “tree.” Usually used as a prefix in the English language, the word means “relating to trees.” An example is the word dendrology which pertains to the scientific study of these perennial plants.

In Genshin Impact, some individuals wield the Dendro Vision. With this, they are granted the power to manipulate plants to deal damage or provide support.

Alhaitham

Rarity	4 stars

How to Obtain	Alhaitham can be obtained as the featured 5-star character on the Caution in Confidence banner, which runs from January 18, 2023 – February 7, 2023. Once this banner ends, there will be no other way to acquire him unless a banner rerun takes place.

A member of the Haravatat or a field of study that focuses on semiotics and linguistics, Alhaitham works as the Scribe of Sumeru Akademiya and is responsible for documenting findings and drafting ordinances. This Dendro character operates purely by rationality, causing many people to consider his actions unacceptable.

Collei

Rarity	4 stars
Weapon	Bow
How to Obtain	Collei can be obtained for free during the limited-time Graven Innocence event. She can also be obtained at a normal rate from all Standard Wish Banners and Character Event Wishes except Beginner’s Wish.

This Dendro character made her first appearance in the official Genshin Impact manga, which takes place sometime before the Traveler arrived in Mondstadt.

Initially a victim of Fatui human experimentation conducted by Dottore, Collei wandered Teyvat as a vagrant until she met Amber. They became very close friends, and this helped Collei get back on her feet.

When Collei went to Sumeru, the two sent letters and talked about what was happening in their lives. At one point, Amber mentioned the Traveler in their letters, allowing Collei to recognize the Traveler and Paimon when she first met them.

Nahida

How to Obtain	Nahida can be obtained as the featured 5-star character on The Moongrass’ Enlightenment banner which runs from November 2, 2022 – November 18, 2022. Once this banner ends, there will be no other way to acquire her unless a banner rerun takes place.

This Dendro character is the vessel of Lesser Lord Kusanali, the current Dendro Archon, and the youngest among The Seven.

However, while she is the current Dendro Archon, the sages from the Sumeru Akademiya appear to hold her in low regard and have kept her inside the Sanctuary of Surasthana since her birth. Because of this isolation, people know little about her. Despite this, Nahida, or Lesser Lord Kusanali, has watched over Sumeru through the Akasha Terminal and, unknown to most people, was actually the one who saved Aaru Village from an earthquake.

Tighnari

How to Obtain	Tighnari can be obtained as the featured 5-star character on the Viridescent Vigil banner which runs from August 24, 2022 to September 9, 2022. Once this banner ends, he will be made available as part of the 5-star prize pool for the Standard Wish Wanderlust Invocation.

A highly knowledgeable individual, Tighnari is an expert in botany and serves as the head of the Avidya Forest rangers. This Dendro character also serves as the mentor of Collei.

While the Akademiya had offered him a job in Sumeru City several times, Tighnari declined them as he finds the city’s noise stressful to his fox-like ears and prefers to spend his time in the forests. Apart from his ears, he also has a tail resembling a fox’s.

Traveler

Rarity	5 stars

How to Obtain	Obtainable by resonating with the Dendro Element. This can be done by interacting with the Statue of the Seven in Sumeru when playing as the Traveler.

The Traveler is the game’s main protagonist and is from another world. While traveling with their twin sibling throughout the universe, an unknown god blocked and captured one of them. Because of this, they are stranded in Teyvat. 

Yaoyao

Yaoyao was Xiangling’s junior disciple under the same martial arts master, Madame Ping. However, she now works as an assistant for the 5-star Cryo character Ganyu. Despite her young age, she is considered a gentle and caring “little adult.”
