With its massive player base, Genshin Impact is undeniably one of the most popular games, especially now that its 2nd anniversary is just around the corner. The game has recently added the latest region called Sumeru, and with it comes new characters, adventures, and interesting Elemental Reactions.

However, when exactly is Genshin Impact‘s 2nd anniversary? What can players of this huge action role-playing game expect?

Genshin Impact was initially released by miHoYo, also known as HoYoverse, on September 28th, 2020, for Android, iOs, Windows, and PS4, with the PS5 version released later in 2021. Therefore, its 2nd anniversary will be on September 28th, 2022.

Since its release, the game and its unique characters have captured the hearts of many. It’s not on the popular gaming platform Steam yet. It’s also not on Xbox. Its Nintendo Switch version has been in development for about two years. However, it’s one of the most commercially successful video games, and this can’t be denied considering Genshin Impact‘s revenue.

What can I expect from Genshin impact’s 2nd anniversary?

The game celebrated its 1st anniversary on the 28th of September last year, and it was an eventful one—both positively and negatively.

If you’re new to the game, most players were deeply disappointed with miHoYo’s anniversary rewards last year, and even review bombed the game on application stores. This led miHoYo to release additional rewards to pacify its playerbase.

These rewards included a total of 1600 Primogems, the Wings of Shimmery Galaxy glider, Fragile Resin, and furnishing for the Serenitea Pot.

Considering how the events turned out last year, it is expected for HoYoverse to give its players rewards of the same value during its 2nd anniversary. If not the same, then maybe even better. It is unlikely for the game developer to cause another fiasco, and players might even get a big surprise soon.

The 2nd anniversary is Genshin Impact‘s birthday. For a game as huge as this, what’s a birthday without a decent party or something that would even exceed our expectations?
