Genshin Impact 2.7: Release date, banners, events and more

After a long delay between updates, Hoyoverse finally presents Genshin Impact 2.7, which has just received its live stream with information on the release date, character banners, events, and much more.

“Hidden Dreams in The Depths” will be the next update, bringing Yelan and Kuki Shinobu as playable characters.

Aside from the new characters, both Arataki Itto and Xiao will return in featured banners, since they both will play big roles in this version’s story, focused on The Chams and its secrets.

Aside from what was previously speculated, this version will indeed last for 6 weeks. The 2.7 version of Genshin Impact has a release date of May 31, marking the release of some new character banners into the game.

Character banners order

The first banner will bring the main star of this version, Yelan. She will have a concurrent banner with Xiao, who is returning to the banners rather quickly, as he was featured earlier this year. No 4-star characters were confirmed yet, but leaks suggest that Barbara, Yan Fei, and Noelle will be in the banner.

For weapons, Yelan’s signature weapon, the Aqua Simulacra 5-star bow, will be featured in the version’s first half. We can safely assume that Xiao’s weapon, the Primordial Jade Spear, will be the other 5-star featured weapon, but no official confirmation was given yet.

For the second half, Arataki Itto, the one, and oni, will be making his comeback alongside Kuki Shinobu, second-in-command in the Arataki Gang. Other 4-star characters for Itto’s banner are not confirmed yet.

New story events

The main story for this version will be focused on new exploration in the depths of the Chasm, alongside Xiao, Yan Fei, Itto, Kuki Shinobu and Yelan. The Archon Quest Interlude Chapter – Perilous Trail will be available in the version’s release.

And as it’s being usual with new 4-star characters, Kuki Shinobu will also be receiving her own Hangout Event, in which we’ll be able to know more about her.

Events

The main event in this version is “Realms of Guile of War”, a battle event where you must build teams according to the domain’s rules, which may help you by giving some bonus, or may harm you by locking a strong character away.

The main rewards, aside from Primogems, a Crown of Insight and Mora includes the exclusive 4-star bow Fading Twilight.

A Muddy Bizarre Adventure is another event taking place in the Chasm, revolving around defeating monsters and clearing the Mud in the depths.

The recurring Rhythm game is back, and it’s now named “The Almighty Arataki Great and Glorious Drumalong Festival”, in which players will now receive a drum to play the selected songs and receive prizes.

Lastly, Core of the Apparatus will be another creation event, where we can construct new robot furnishing for the Teapot, which will luckly be already working by then.

Other changes and version codes

Small Quality of Life updates are also being added, mainly new domain tips and references for which talents and substats should be prioritized for each character.
