Genshin Impact 2.2: Release date, banners order officially revealed

The Special Program Livestream for the 2.2 version of Genshin Impact revealed details about the upcoming content, as well as the official order of the rerun banners, which will feature Childe and Hu Tao as the rate up 5-stars. Thoma will also be included during the banners.

The live stream also showed some of the new content, such as the Tsurumi Island, the last playable area for Inazuma.

The next version will be released on October 13 and will bring lots of new content to the game.

As shown in the live stream, Tartaglia will be the first rerun character. We may also expect the new 5-star bow, the Polar Star, to appear along with it in the Weapon banner.

The new limited 4-star weapons, such as the Akuoumaru claymore and the Wavebreaker’s Fin polearm may also make an appearance.

As for the second rerun banner, Hu Tao is finally back to scare our wallets. Her previous appearance lasted only 2 weeks instead of the usual 3, so she may be one of the most successful reruns to this date, since she’s one of the strongest DPS in the game and is also paired with the new character, Thoma.

For her Weapon Banner, we might see the Staff of Homa making a comeback, which is also one of the best polearms in the game.

Updates and events

The final Island for Inazuma, the Tsurumi Island, will be available, and new enemies such as the Rifthounds will be found while exploring it.

As previously leaked, new Hangout Events are being released, this time for the new Inazuma characters Sayu and Thoma.

The trailer also previewed the main event for the version, Labyrinth Warriors, in which players may get a free Xinyan. 

The musical event, Tuned to the World’s Sounds, will also be an important part of this version, granting us another musical instrument similar to the Windsong Lyre.

Many other events (such as Ley Line Overflow) and updates (directed at the Teapot, for example) will be included. Also, if you missed the live’s codes, here they are. They last only for a day, so be quick!

Genshin Impact is currently on the 2.1 version, “Floating World Under the Moonlight”, featuring the conclusion of the Archon Quests in Inazuma, a new Weekly Boss, 2 new World Bosses, new characters, and two new areas for exploration.

You can play the game for free on mobile devices including Android, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, and Pc on both miHoYo’s official launcher and Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch version is stated to be in development.
