Genshin Impact 2.2: Childe rerun banner officially revealed

childe banner rerun featured

Genshin Impact is almost at its 2.2 version, and the first rerun banner, featuring Childe, has been officially released. This is the third time we see the Fatui Harbinger as the main 5-star of an event banner.

The banner will run from October 13th to November 2nd, and will also feature the rate-up 4-star characters Yanfei, Ningguang, and Chongyun as partners for Tartaglia.

The Genshin Impact official media accounts also have revealed the highly speculated weapon banners. As previously announced, the Polar Star 5-star bow will be featured as a rate-up weapon, alongside the Memory of Dust 5-star limited catalyst.

This is the second time the catalyst receives a rerun banner, just like Childe. Accompanying those weapons, we have the rate-up 4-star weapons Rust, Favonius Sword, Favonius Lance, Eye of Perception, and the newcomer Akuoumaru claymore.

Since the other weapons from the Watatsumi series are nowhere to be seen, it’s safe to assume that those other weapons will be featured alongside Hu Tao’s weapon banner, which should also bring back another highly desired weapon: The Staff of Homa.

Also, we already know that Thoma will be alongside Hu Tao in her banner, so by looking at which 4-star characters haven’t received a rate-up in the most recent banners, we can guess which characters will accompany him.

Noelle, Fischl, and Barbara are the characters who haven’t appeared in any banner for the longest time. Noelle’s last appearance was 9 banners ago, and both the other girls were absent for 6 banners, including Childe’s, so we may expect any of them to come very soon.

You can play the game for free on mobile devices including Android, iOS, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, and Pc on both miHoYo’s official launcher and Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch version is stated to be in development.
