Genshin Impact 2.0: First Trailer Revealed, New Characters, and More Featured

Today, during the Special Program focused on version 2.0 of Genshin Impact, miHoYo officially revealed the highly anticipated trailer for the upcoming version of the game, ”The Immortal God and the Eternal Euthymia”, showcasing many new characters, and more of the game’s upcoming region of Inazuma.

You can check out the trailer below, featuring the first official in-game glimpses of not only Inazuma but also of the game’s upcoming characters, courtesy of Genshin Impact’s official channels:

As the trailer shows, the new version will put the traveler in the center of the political conflict taking place in Inazuma, as they begin to unravel the many mysteries surrounding the once peaceful region and its mysterious Shogun, Baal, also known as the Electro Archon.

The version will also feature the debut of three new playable characters, Kamisato Ayaka, Yoimiya, and Sayu, as well as many new mechanics, an Electro Version of the Traveller, and much more.

[UPDATE] In a post in the PlayStation Blog, miHoYo revealed that the new version will be released on July 21st.

You can take part in Genshin Impact’s version 1.6 right now, which features the character banner of Kaedehara Kazuha, as well as his featured weapon banner, a new Archon quest, and much more. 

Genshin Impact is currently available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, mobile devices – Android and iOS – and for PC, via miHoYo’s official launcher and, since June 9th, in the Epic Games Store. A version of the game for the Nintendo Switch is also reportedly in development.
