Genshin Impact 1.6: Leaked video showcases the game’s new region, boating system explained
New leaks regarding Genshin Impact’s version 1.6 continue to surface, and this time, not only a video showcasing the game’s new archipelago surfaced, but also an overview of its new boating system.

The new region will consist of an archipelago filled with islands and mysteries. but that’s not all, since to explore the new region, player s will need to make use of a new mechanic, the Skiff Waypoint System.

According to known leaker @Genshin_Intel, the game’s new system will allow players who interact with it to build a skiff to travel the seas over the new region.
The skill will be equipped with 2 cannons and will suffer damage over constant use. Players will also be able to use the new system when in co-op.

Genshin Impact’s version 1.5 “Beneath the Light of Jadeite” is already here, allowing players to roll for both 5-star Zhongli and 4-star Yanfei, to experience the new housing system, and much more.
Genshin Impact is currently available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, mobile devices – Android, iOS – and PC, via miHoYo’s official launcher. A version of the game for the Nintendo Switch is reportedly in development.
The new version is expected to be released in early June, featuring banners starring both the new 5-star Kazuha and a Klee rerun.
