Genshin Impact 1.6: How to get Barbara and Jean’s new skins

The Special Program focused on Genshin Impact’s upcoming version 1.6 ”Midsummer Island Adventure” aired today, officially presenting fans with many new additions coming to miHoYo’s game.

And between the many reveals, one that took the fans all the way to Celestia was the official announcement of the new skins coming to the game, Jean’s ”Sea Breeze Dandelion”, and Barbara’s ”Summertime Sparkle”.

But how can you get the new skins?

How to get Barbara and Jean’s new skins (outfits)

According to Zhenzhong Yi, one of the directors responsible for Genshin Impact, on PlayStation’s official blog, Barbara’s upcoming skin will be available for free to all of those that manage to collect enough Echoing Conches in the game’s new limited Archipelago Area featured event,  ”Echoing Tales”.

You can check the image below, the in-game visual of Barbara’s upcoming ”Summertime Sparkle” skin.

Barbara’s new skin is not the only reward available at the events shop, winch will also feature level and talent-oriented mats, Primogems, mora, enhancement ores, and more.

Jean’s skin, on the other hand, will be, according to Yi, available for purchase in the game’s shop permanently, but will receive a discount during the new version.

Those will be the first skins to be released on Genshin Impact and show that we can expect even more outfits to be released in the title in the future, similar to how the system became an important part of another of miHoYo’s flagships Honkai Impact 3rd.

Genshin Impact’s version 1.6 will be released on June 9th, featuring the already mentioned new archipelago region, the debut of the new 5-star character Kazuha, the long-awaited Klee rerun, the addition of new housing mechanics, a new boating system, and more.

Genshin Impact is currently available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, mobile devices – Android and iOS – and for PC, via miHoYo’s official launcher. A version of the game for the Nintendo Switch is reportedly in development.

Right now, players can take part in the second phase of the game’s current version 1.5 ”Beneath the Light of Jadeite” and try to pull for its featured 5-star Eula and her featured weapon, the 5-star Claymore Song of the Broken Pines. 

The new version will be released on June 9th, featuring many of the features spoken about above., and the Klee rerun banner. Kazuha will be released at a later date, together with his Archon quest and much more.
