Genshin impact 1.5: New official details about Eula and Yanfei revealed

Today, after the release of the Chinese version of the Special Program focused on Genshin Impact‘s new and upcoming version 1.5, a post on the official PlayStation Blog revealed a little more about the new chapter.

On it, Zhenzhong Yi, the technical director at miHoYo, talked about Eula, and Yanfei, the new playable characters joining the game’s roster.

According to Zhenzhong Yi, Eula is, just like the leaks said, the Captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company, and will be a 5-star Cryo Claymore wielder.

Also according to the post, Eula’s Elemental Skill will be officially called ”Icetide Vortex”. It was also confirmed that she will indeed be a Physical DPS, focused on increasing her overall damage, ATK, and DEF.

Yanfei on the other hand will be a, according to him, ”a young half-human, half-illuminated beast”. Just as the leaks said, Yanfei will be a legal advisor based on Liyue Harbor, and a 4-Star Pyro Catalyst user.

The post also confirmed the leaks regarding her skills, and gameplay style, which will be focused on dealing high amounts of Pyro damage, and increasing her charged attack availability.

Genshin Impact is currently available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, mobile devices – Android, iOS – and PC, via miHoYo’s official launcher.

A native version for the game for the PlayStation 5 is coming together with the new version and will feature improved graphics, framerate, and faster loading times. A new version of the game for the Nintendo Switch is also reportedly in development.

Yanfei will be present on the new version first banner, featuring Zhongli’s, Eula will be the star of its second banner, which will be released at a later date.

Genshin Impact’s Version 1.5 “Beneath the Light of Jadeite” will be released on April 28th.
