Genshin Impact 1.5: Is Tenacity of the Millelith the best artifact set for Zhongli?

Zhongli is one of Genshin Impact’s most popular and beloved characters, and with his rerun currently underway, many have the chance to add the mysterious consultant of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor to their teams.

But, is the recently added artifact set Tenacity of the Millenith, released together with his rerun, in fact, the best artifact set for Zhongli?

Is Tenacity of the Millelith the best artifact set for Zhongli?

Zhongli is a character that can work in many functions, such as a physical DPS, and as a Shield, or Burst support, the latter being the role in which he shines the most, being one of the game’s top tiers on it.

With that in mind, the artifact set Tenacity of the Millelith, which can be found in the new Ridge Watch domain, offers bonuses more focused on increasing his HP, fortifying his shield, and giving your other characters a 20% damage boost.

You can check out the artifact set bonuses below, as is present on Genshin Impact:

  • 2-Piece Bonus: HP +20%
  • 4-Piece Bonus: When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the ATK of all nearby party members is increased by 20% and their Shield Strength is increased by 30% for 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field.

As we said above, the full set is great for those looking to use Zhongli as a shield support, and who are also willing to keep the fight into his Elemental Skill’s range, so that they can make use of its passive effectively.

Its 2-piece passive can also be used by those focused on creating a support that can not only cause huge Burst Damage but also offer a sturdy shield, for that effect, using it together with a 2-piece Noblesse Oblige can work out great.

If you are looking to cause as most damage as possible with his Elemental Burst, using a 2-piece Noblesse Oblige, 2-piece Archaic Petra is still the best option.

With all that said, and taking into account the information available on Gesnhin Impact, or own experience, as well as studies and guides made by fans on the game’s official Reddit, as well as on r/ZhongliMains, we can say that the Tenacity of the Millelith set is a good option for some playstyles, but we cannot say that he is the best for the character.

Genshin Impact’s version 1.5 “Beneath the Light of Jadeite” is already here, allowing players to roll for both 5-star Zhongli and 4-star Yanfei, to experience the new housing system, and much more. The game’s upcoming 5-star Cryo claymore Eula will be released at a later date, together with her own character quest. 

The game is currently available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, mobile devices – Android, iOS – and PC, via miHoYo’s official launcher. A version of the game for the Nintendo Switch is reportedly in development.

The new version 1.6 of Genshin Impact is expected to be released in early June, featuring both a Klee rerun and, as we said above, a banner featuring the new 5-star sword user Kazuha.
