Genshin Impact 3.0: Ganyu and Zhongli might have banner re-runs soon

Leaks for the upcoming Sumeru region in Genshin Impact 3.0 have circulated online for months. Of course, it’s expected that with the new region comes new characters.
These characters include those who have been previously leaked, such as Tighnari, Collei, Dori, Dehya, Nilou, Al-Haitham, Cyno, and Nahida. There’s even a considerable chance that Scaramouche will finally have his banner somewhere down the line!
Apart from these characters, players will also see updates in the game’s mechanics, such as the Dendro element being finally usable. On the other hand, leaks suggest other updates, such as the optimization of the alternate sprint and the addition of new Kamera filters.
However, while all of these are exciting, it has been a routine for HoYoverse to include banner re-runs such as the current banner for Yoimiya. Therefore, it is only reasonable for some players, especially “wanters,” to wonder if some previously released 5-star characters will have banner re-runs soon.
Leaker hints at possible Ganyu and Zhongli banner re-runs
Ganyu and Zhongli “wanters” might get a chance to be “havers” in Version 3.0. This is according to a thread of one of the most popular Genshin Impact leakers with the handle @SaveYourPrimos on Twitter.
In the thread, the leaker mentioned the possibility of having three separate banners during the first Sumeru update, meaning players can pull for Tighnari, Zhongli, and Ganyu.
If this is going to be the case, this wouldn’t be the first time for HoYoverse to have three separate banners in one update. It can be recalled that Xiao, Keqing, and Hu Tao were placed in three separate parts in Genshin Impact 1.3. However, it’s important to note that this occurred before the double banner mechanic was introduced during an update’s first phase.
While Tighnari is the only new 5-star character among the three, it can’t be denied that Zhongli and Ganyu are two of the most popular Genshin Impact characters. If the banner re-runs turn out to be true, deciding which one to wish for might be difficult for most players.
Aside from Tighnari, Genshin Impact’s social media accounts have previously confirmed the arrival of 4-star characters Collei and Dori. While this will be Collei‘s first appearance in-game, she has been one of the protagonists in the Genshin Impact official manga for a long time.
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed by miHoyo, also known as HoYoverse. The game is available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, and PlayStation 5, while a release on Nintendo Switch is currently in the works.
