Genshin Impact: Cloud Retainer’s human form has been leaked
The Lantern Rite Festival in Genshin Impact is just around the corner. An annual event held in Liyue to celebrate the new year, the festival will definitely have players see familiar faces from the region—humans and adepti alike.
However, one character from Liyue might have a significant change physically, as shown by a new leak. The character in question is Cloud Retainer, the adeptus players will recall as someone who takes the form of a crane.

Leaker reveals Cloud Retainer’s human form
An image of a human model with accents of the crane adeptus was shared on Reddit and is reportedly to be from leaker Thereallo.
While this has been tagged as “questionable” and should be taken with a grain of salt like any other early and unofficial data, the description by leaker Uncle A supports Thereallo’s leak, saying:
“The back of the Cloud Retainer is bare, and her shoulder is covered by feathers. The Cloud Retainer has a design of wearing glasses and not wearing glasses.”

With the approach of the Lantern Rite Festival, Uncle A suggests the possibility that Cloud Retainer might make an in-game appearance in human form during the event. Moreover, this leak opens the possibility of the adeptus being playable in the future. Although, except for this leaked model, there are currently no other details that hint at Cloud Retainer’s possible element, weapon, and talents.
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed by miHoyo, also known as HoYoverse. The game is available for PC, PS4, PS5, iOS, and Android, while a release on Nintendo Switch is currently in the works.
