Genshin Impact Bennett Best Build Guide: Weapons, Artifact Sets, Roles, Talents, Constellations, and more

Bennett Best Build Guide

Last Updated on: 6th August 2022, 09:26 am

Bennett is a playable 4-star Pyro character in Genshin Impact. An orphan discovered by an elderly adventurer as a baby, he was raised in Mondstadt’s Adventurers’ Guild.

He is infamous for his bad luck but remains hardworking and optimistic. Unknown to him, he is the only remaining member of “Benny’s Adventure Team,” as everyone else left the team after getting their fair share of his awful luck.

This guide will discuss Bennett’s talents, constellations, recommended roles, best weapons, artifact sets, and more! So, if you want to add this character to your team, read on.

While you’re here, you might also want to check out other Pyro characters in our complete list of Pyro characters.

Bennett’s Talents and Priority

Probably because of his lore, Hold (Level 2) of Bennett‘s Elemental Skill unleashes three consecutive attacks that launch him in the end. While this doesn’t deal any damage to him, this takes a few seconds of your team’s rotation.

However, his 2nd Ascension Passive remedies this. As long as he is inside the Inspiration Field created by his Burst, he will no longer be knocked back.

Speaking of Elemental Burst, this is the best thing about Bennett as this not only deals damage but also heals and buffs the ATK of the entire party.

Because of this, we recommend maxing his Talents in the following order:

  • 1st priority – Elemental Burst
  • 2nd priority – Elemental Skill
  • 3rd priority – Normal Attack

For more details about his Talents, be sure to check out the table below:

Normal Attack – Strike of FortuneNormal Attack
Performs up to 5 rapid strikes.

Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.

Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Elemental Skill – Passion OverloadBennett puts all his fire and passion for adventuring into his sword.
Results may vary based on how fired up he is…

Press
A single, swift flame strike that deals Pyro DMG.

Hold (Short)
Charges up, resulting in different effects when unleashed based on the Charge Level.
– Level 1: Strikes twice, dealing Pyro DMG and launching opponents.
– Level 2: Unleashes 3 consecutive attacks that deal impressive Pyro DMG, but the last attack triggers an explosion that launches both Bennett and the enemy.

Bennett takes no damage from being launched.
Elemental Burst – Fantastic VoyageBennett performs a jumping attack that deals Pyro DMG, creating an Inspiration Field.

Inspiration Field
– If the health of a character within the AoE is equal to or falls below 70%, their health will continuously regenerate. The amount of HP restored scales off Bennett’s Max HP.
– If the health of a character within the AoE is higher than 70%, they gain an ATK Bonus that is based on Bennett’s Base ATK.
– Imbues characters within the AoE with Pyro.
1st Ascension Passive – RekindleDecreases Passion Overload‘s CD by 20%.
2nd Ascension Passive – FearnaughtWhen inside Fantastic Voyage‘s circle, Passion Overload‘s CD is decreased by 50% and Bennett cannot be launched by this skill’s explosion.
Utility Passive – It Should Be Safe…When dispatched on an expedition in Mondstadt, the time consumed is reduced by 25%.

Constellations and Effects

Bennett‘s Constellations have great upgrades, but C1 is a must and most likely the best. Without C1, there will be an HP restriction to activate the ATK buff provided by his Burst. But with C1, everyone in the party will have their ATK increased regardless of any party member’s HP percentage. This means that it is guaranteed for Bennett to buff everyone in the team every time he uses his Burst.

If you’re new to the game, Constellations are acquired when you get another character copy.

Recommended Roles and Teams for Bennett

With his team healing and ATK buff, Bennett is easily one, if not the best Healer/Support character in the game. His Talents are not dedicated to a specific element, which makes him generally an asset to any team.

He can activate the Pyro Resonance in Melt teams, including Diluc as Main DPS and Ganyu and Venti as Sub DPS. He can also be paired up with Klee or Hu Tao.

For Vaporize teams, he can be teamed up with Tartaglia as the Main DPS while having Albedo and Zhongli activate the Geo Resonance.

He can even work well with other 4-star characters such as Xiangling, Xingqiu, Kaeya, and Fischl, to name a few.

This list could go on as there are so many possibilities for Bennett, and you can almost NOT go wrong with him as long as your Main DPS character’s damage scales with ATK.

Recommended Weapons for Bennett

Energy Recharge is vital for Bennett, so his Burst would be ready in every rotation. Base ATK is also important as his team ATK buff scales with this stat. Because of these, we highly recommend the weapon Skyward Blade as it provides a high Base ATK and an Energy Recharge bonus stat.

However, if you don’t have this 5-star weapon, Favonius Sword and Sacrificial Sword are our recommended free-to-play options.

Recommended Artifact Sets and Stat Priority for Bennett

ARTIFACT SETEFFECTCOMMENTS
Noblesse Oblige x4– Elemental Burst DMG +20%.
– Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members’ ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.
Since you have to use Bennett‘s Elemental Burst whenever you can, Noblesse Oblige x4 is easily the best Artifact Set for him.

As for Artifact stat priority, you can focus on:

  • Sands – Energy Recharge for faster energy regeneration or HP% for more healing
  • Goblet – HP% for more healing
  • Circlet – Healing Bonus or HP% also for more healing

If you’re wondering whether the ATK bonus from the Artifacts contributes to his team ATK buff, the answer is no. The team ATK buff from his Burst is only based on his Base ATK. Thus, it’s more important to focus on his Energy Recharge and HP from the Artifacts.
