Genshin Impact releases Baizhu and Kaveh drip marketing
Baizhu and Kaveh are officially coming to Genshin Impact as playable characters! This has been confirmed by the two characters’ drip marketing posted on the official social media pages of the popular action role-playing game.
While both characters were previously leaked to join the game’s roster, Baizhu’s expected release is notable, as his first in-game appearance goes back to the first chapter of the Archon Quests that took place in Liyue. Along with the 4-star character Yaoyao, Baizhu is one of the earliest known Dendro characters. However, Yaoyao has already made her debut as a playable character in time for the Lantern Rite Festival in Version 3.4.
Initially leaked to arrive in the same patch, Baizhu was later believed to arrive in Version 3.6 instead, which the drip marketing proves to be true.
Baizhu and Kaveh drip marketing officially revealed
It is common knowledge that HoYoverse only releases the drip marketing for characters that will become available in the game’s next closest version. While Genshin Impact is still expected to release Version 3.5, all of the upcoming version’s 5-star character banners have already been announced.

The 3.5 banners do not include Baizhu and Kaveh, which could only mean that they will become available by the time that Version 3.6 is released. Following Genshin Impact‘s usual update schedule, Version 3.6 is expected to be live on April 12, 2023.
Baizhu’s drip marketing states that the doctor and owner of Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue has the ability to “make all illnesses better.” However, his medicines were also described as “really bitter!”
On the other hand, Kaveh is described as “a renowned architect from Sumeru, known as the Light of Kshahrewar. He is one of the most high-profile figures in the industry.”

Baizhu and Kaveh’s drip marketing also confirms that the two upcoming characters will use the Dendro element. While their weapons have not been officially revealed yet, previous leaks suggest that Baizhu will be a catalyst user with the Primordial Jade Regailia as his signature weapon and that Kaveh will be a claymore user.
