Genshin Impact Amber Best Build Guide: Weapons, Artifact Sets, Roles, Talents, Constellations, and more

Amber is a playable 4-star Pyro character in Genshin Impact. The only remaining Outrider of the Knights of Favonius, she is always ready to help those in need regardless of how challenging it might be. 

This guide will discuss Amber‘s talents, constellations, recommended roles, best weapons, artifact sets, and more! So, if you want to add this character to your team, read on.

Amber’s Talents and Priority

Amber‘s Elemental Skill taunts enemies, making it a great crowd control option. On the other hand, her Burst only requires 40 energy. This means that with the right weapons and artifacts we will discuss later, she can constantly use her Burst and apply Pyro for various Elemental Reactions to take place.

As for Talent level-up priority, we recommend maxing her Talents in the following order:

• 1st priority – Elemental Burst
• 2nd priority – Elemental Skill
• 3rd priority – Normal Attack

Normal Attack – Sharpshooter	Normal Attack  Perform up to 5 consecutive shots with a bow.    Charged Attack  Perform a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG.  While aiming, flames will accumulate on the arrowhead. A fully charged flaming arrow will deal Pyro DMG.    Plunging Attack  Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Elemental Skill – Explosive Puppet	The ever-reliable Baron Bunny takes the stage.    Baron Bunny  – Continuously taunts the enemy, drawing their fire.  – Baron Bunny’s HP scales with Amber’s Max HP.  – Baron Bunny explodes, dealing AoE Pyro DMG when destroyed or when its timer expires.  Hold  Adjusts the throwing direction of Baron Bunny.  The longer the button is held, the further the throw.
Elemental Burst – Fiery Rain	Fires off a shower of arrows, dealing with continuous AoE Pyro DMG.
1st Ascension Passive – Every Arrow Finds Its Target	Increases the CRIT Rate of Fiery Rain by 10% and widens its AoE by 30%.
2nd Ascension Passive – Precise Shot	Aimed Shot hits on weak spots increase ATK by 15% for 10s.
Utility Passive – Gliding Champion	Decreases gliding Stamina consumption for your own party members by 20%. Not stackable with Passive Talents that provide the exact same effects.

Constellations and Effects

Amber‘s best Constellations are C2 and C6. If you’re new to the game, Constellations are acquired when you get another character copy.

With C2 (Bunny Triggered), you no longer have to wait for Baron Bunny to explode as you can manually detonate him. By manually detonating Baron Bunny, you also get additional DMG.

However, C6 (Wildfire) is undeniably the best one as it unlocks Amber‘s capability as a team player. With C6, you can increase all party members’ Movement SPD and ATK every time you use her Burst!

6	Wildfire	Fiery Rain increases all party members’ Movement SPD by 15% and ATK by 15% for 10s.

Recommended Roles and Teams for Amber

Amber has a low Burst energy cost and cool down, which is pretty good. Therefore, maximizing her potential revolves around utilizing her Burst. With this, she can be used as a Burst Support or Burst Sub-DPS.

Aside from her Burst, her Elemental Skill is also vital as a Support as Baron Bunny taunts enemies and decreases your chances of getting attacked. However, Baron Bunny won’t always be on the field. This is where you need healers and shielders to make up for that downtime. These include 5-star characters such as Zhongli, Jean, and Kokomi. 4-star characters include Diona, Thoma, and Barbara.

For your Main DPS, you may use other Pyro characters such as Hutao, Diluc, and Klee. Aside from the Pyro Elemental Resonance you can get by having two (2) Pyro characters in the team, these Main DPS characters will greatly benefit from Amber‘s Burst at C6.

If you like to trigger Elemental Reactions such as Vaporize, you can pair her up with a Hydro character such as Tartaglia as your Main DPS.

Recommended Weapons for Amber

Whether you’re taking the path of the Burst Support or Burst Sub-DPS, Energy Recharge is vital for Amber, so her Burst would be ready in every rotation. Because of this, we highly recommend the weapon Elegy for the End. However, if you don’t have this 5-star weapon, the Favonius Warbow is our recommended free-to-play option.

Elegy for the End (5 stars)	Base ATK (Lv 1 -90): 46 – 608 Base Bonus Stat (Lv 1 -90): Energy Recharge 12.0% – 55.1% Base Skill Effect: Increases Elemental Mastery by 60. When the Elemental Skills or Elemental Bursts of the character wielding this weapon hit opponents, that character gains a Sigil of Remembrance. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 4 Sigils of Remembrance, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the “Millennial Movement: Farewell Song” effect for 12s. “Millennial Movement: Farewell Song” increases Elemental Mastery by 100 and increases ATK by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Remembrance for 20s. Of the many effects of the “Millennial Movement,” buffs of the same type will not stack.
Favonius Warbow (4 Stars)	Base ATK (Lv 1 -90): 41 – 454 Base Bonus Stat (Lv 1 -90): Energy Recharge 13.3% – 61.3% Base Skill Effect: CRIT hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s.

Recommended Artifact Sets and Stat Priority for Amber

Below are Amber‘s recommended Artifact Sets:

Noblesse Oblige x4	– Elemental Burst DMG +20%. – Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members’ ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.	If you want to use Amber as a Burst Support character, the additional Burst DMG and the team ATK buff from Noblesse Oblige x4 is your best option. This is also important if you don’t have her C6 yet.
Emblem of Severed Fate x4	– Energy Recharge +20%. – Increases Elemental Burst DMG by 25% of Energy Recharge. A maximum of 75% bonus DMG can be obtained in this way.	If you want to use Amber as a Burst Sub-DPS character, the bonus Energy Recharge and Burst DMG from Emblem of Severed Fate x4 is best for her.

If you equip Noblesse Oblige x4 for Burst Support, you must prioritize Energy Recharge or ATK% for the Sands, Pyro DMG Bonus for the Goblet, and CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG for the Circlet.

On the other hand, if you equip, Emblem of Severed Fate x4 for Burst Sub-DPS, you need to prioritize ATK% for the Sands, Pyro DMG Bonus for the Goblet, and CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG for the Circlet.
