If you love taking photos of your favorite Genshin Impact characters in action or just love taking photos in general, you have every reason to get even more excited than you already are for Sumeru‘s release.

A new leak points out that new Kamera filters could arrive in the game along with the upcoming Genshin Impact 3.0 update.

Here is everything we know so far.

What is the Kamera in Genshin Impact?

For new players, the Kamera is an item that you can obtain as a reward for completing the Snapshots world quest in Liyue. This is different from the Photo Mode feature which can be accessed from the Paimon menu.

While the two are generally used for taking photos, the Kamera, when equipped, allows players to capture images while their characters are performing actions such as during battles—something that the Photo Mode cannot do.

However, since this feature’s release, it hasn’t really received significant updates. The game also has the Special Kamera obtainable from the Perfect Shot world quest, but it only has one brownish filter which is something that not all players like.

Are we having more filter options soon?

According to a recent tweet from notable leaker @SagiriShape, this could change very soon. In the tweet, the leaker said:

The images in the tweet show Klee and Barbara with what looks like a Hydro-inspired effect. While the leaker only showed one kind of filter, it is possible that this update would pave the way for more filters and effects in Genshin Impact.

Moreover, having the Hydro-inspired filter could also mean that the other elements would have their own filters to spice photos up.

Should this small update be implemented, bigger updates might also be coming in the future. Perhaps, HoYoverse will finally allow players to take pictures inside Domains, too!
