Fortnite: How to get Guff Gringle for free (Winterfest 2022)

Fortnite‘s annual Winterfest event is here, bringing lots of Holiday fun to the game, including unvaulted weapons, items, and the return of Santa as he travels across the map delivering presents to players.

As with previous Winterfest events, the winter lodge has returned, and players can unlock many free cosmetic items daily during the holidays.

There is also a brand new free skin, Guff Gringle, that has come to Fortnite but is only available to PC players. Here is how to unlock Guff Gringle for free both on PC and if you’re a console player.

Guff Gringle will be available for free until January 3rd, 2023, and is available down on PC only. Fortnite fans that play on PC can go to the Item Shop and find the skin available to claim for free.

However, if you play on console, Guff Gringle won’t show up in the Item Shop. But don’t worry because there is still a way that you can claim the skin.

How to claim Guff Gringle without a PC

If you don’t play Fortnite on PC, you won’t see the Guff Gringle skin in the Item Shop. But, there is still a method that you can use to claim the skin for free.

Nvidia’s GeForce Now service lets gamers play hundreds of PC games via Cloud Gaming. Players can connect to PCs hosted by Nvidia that contain the latest hardware and stream the gameplay.

One of these games is Fortnite, and that means that you will be able to claim the Guff Gringle skin since you are technically playing the game on a PC.

In order to claim the Guff Gringle skin using GeForce Now, follow these steps.

  • Use any browser and head to Nvidia.com/GeForce-Now
  • Sign up for a free account (You don’t need to use the paid subscription in order to do this)
  • Log into your Fortnite account on GeForce Now
  • Head to the Item Shop and claim Guff Gringle

It is worth noting that you may experience a slight delay in connecting to servers, especially if you’re trying to claim the skin close to its release, as many other players will also be looking to claim it too.
