Fortnite Season 6: Rift Locations & How To Buy Them

Last Updated on: 17th March 2021, 08:01 pm

Fortnite Season 6 has brought the Rift back into play and here’s everything you need to know about the Rift locations and how you can buy them.

We know, we know… We said buy and not find. Unfortunately, that’s because Rifts now cost Gold Bars.

With Season 6 well underway now, we’re going to take a look at all the Rift locations in-game and how much it will cost you to buy them.

How Do They Work In Season 6?

Unlike previous seasons, Rifts in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 cost you a few Gold Bars and they’re not exactly and item.

Instead of carrying one around with you to use whenever you please, you actually buy Rift uses from NPCs scattered around Fortnite Island and they’re activated instantly.

Rifts will cost you 245 Gold Bars per use, so they’re not exactly cheap and you might want to consider investing that resource into an Exotic or Legendary weapon instead.

They can still be a fantastic tool for relocation or escaping the storm, but we’re not sure they’re as viable in terms of their strategic advantages as they used to be…

Still, if you’re wondering where you can find them we have you covered.

Season 6 Rift Locations

There are a total of nine places where you can purchase a Rift Use from an NPC in Fortnite, at the moment anyway.

You can check all of those out below:

Rifts might not be back in the most conventional way in Fortnite Season 6, but we’re sure there’s still plenty of ways to make use of this important traversal feature in a title that’s lacking a fair bit of mobility at the moment.
