It’s happening! Tomorrow is the day Fortnite fans are all waiting for. We have had several video teasers featuring Jonesy, sounding somewhat flustered, pointing to the return of the seven, and given us a glimpse of what to expect.

But given Epic love to keep us hanging, who actually knows what they have in store.

On Tuesday, March 16th, Chapter 2 Season 6 will begin. Included within this, is the 16.00 update, for the Season 5 ‘Zero Crisis Finale’.

How long will the downtime be?

During previous season handovers, downtime normally lasts anywhere between 1 to 2 hours. And players across the globe sit eagerly waiting, refreshing screens and checking the epic game status online.

But this season is looking like it could be slightly different.

We all remember the black hole

Back in Chapter 1, during the chapter finale, the screen went black, with nothing but a hole on the screen, with random numbers appearing. And boy did they hit us hard with an entire two days offline.

The ‘black hole’ made international news, with people questioning was this the end of Fortnite? Well played Epic, well played.

We have heard no official word from Fortnite, that 8 hours will be the exact downtime, with very little so far to back up the 8 hour claims. But if the leak is correct, we are in for a long day, waiting to jump back on that Battle Bus and explore the new changes.

Time will tell. As always, watch this space…
