Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is coming to an end, after a crazy season full of many collabs from some of entertainments biggest IPs including Halo, Predator, Terminator, Alien, and Street Fighter.

As with any season comes the end of season event, but rumours suggested Epic Games were skipping it this time.

However, Epic Games wouldn’t let us down and has now officially announced the Fortnite end of season 5 event.

Zero Point Crisis

Today, Epic Games has announced, via the Fortnite Twitter page, that the Chapter 2 Season 5 event will be taking place at the start of Season 6 on March 16th.

“The Zero Point grows more unstable! With Chapter 2 Season 6 starting on Tuesday, March 16 2021, here’s some important things to know ahead of launch.

CH2 Season 6 launches on March 16 with the explosive conclusion of the events of Season 5. You’ll play through the culmination of Agent Jones’ mission in the Zero Crisis Finale. This is a solo experience & you can play through it whenever you first log in during the Season.

Want to watch it online first? We’ll have details soon on how you can watch the global premiere with everyone! Before the season ends:

  • Spend your Bars
  • Complete the Battle Pass
  • Finish your Quests”

But what exactly does this mean?

According to Fortnites own Twitter page, as Chapter 2 Season 6 launches, there will be an explosive conclusion of the events of Season 5.

In most cases, the season ends with an event the weekend before, but not this time. This leads us to believe that something very big is going to take place as we enter the new season.

Fortnite have announced that you will play through the cumulation of Agent Jones’ mission in the Zero Crisis Finale. With Epic stating ‘The aftermath of this event is sure to shape Reality as we know it’.

For those who were there at the end of Chapter 2 Season 4 during the Galactus event, you will remember that we were faced with an enormous Galactus, and he was ready to destroy us as he destroyed The Authority and attempted to absorb the Zero Point!

But we were able to play alongside the Marvel Character Iron-Man, Thor and Wolverine, drive the Battle Bus for the first time ever, up Galactus’ arm, and ultimately, destroy Galactus.

As Galactus disappeared back into the horizon, there was a twist. Which of course, being Fortnite, they like to leave us guessing.

Players were given a glimpse of the future, with a suited-up Jonesy, in an office at an unknown location. As he woke up on the floor, with alarm sounds playing in the background, he was looking somewhat, well, terrified…. then we had nothing but darkness.

Please Fortnite, not another Black Hole

The last time something like this happened, we were taken to a black hole, a new chapter, a new map!

Playing in a solo cinematic mission before they jump into Chapter 2 Season 6, could indicate something very big is about to take place with the Zero Point.

Will it explode? Will it take us to a new map? Or is the story of Agent Jones set to end with yet another teaser, leaving us all speculating as to what they have in store?

A reminder…

As the current Battle Pass is set to expire, we are reminded to spend our gold, so if there’s an exotic weapon you’ve wanted to try, now is the time to do it as Epic has discounted the price of these weapons.

If you haven’t already, you have time to finish the battle pass, and complete the quests, giving you skins including Reese, Mancake, Mave, Kondor, Lexa, Menace, and at level 100, Mandor. Plus emotes, a baby yoda backbling, background music, and V Bucks too.

And don’t worry if you missed out on the Breathless Blades Pickaxe during the Hearts Wild Team Battles. By completing the Fishstick’s or Lovely’s Epic Quests before the end of Season 5, you will unlock the pickaxe a few days into Season 6.

The fact Fortnite themselves have called this a a Zero Crisis Finale, would indicate we are in for some pretty big changes.
