Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 is right around the corner and is set to be a very exciting season after the Collision event saw players take control of the Mecha Team Leader to take down the IO before joining The Foundation and Jonesy to try and destroy the Zero Point.

As with previous seasons, when the event concluded it also marked the end of the season and now fans have to patiently wait for the start of Season 3. But, when does downtime begin for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3? We have the answer.

What time does downtime begin?

Following the end of the Collision event, players were brought to a loading screen with some lo-fi smooth jazz playing in the background and no option to jump back into the Battle Royale game.

But, players don’t have long to wait as downtime will begin for Season 3 very soon, and then it won’t be too much longer before the new season will begin.

We can confirm that downtime is set to begin for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 on Sunday, June 5th, at 4 am EST/9 am BST.

This is when the servers will go offline and players will need to download the new update as Epic Games implement the 21.00 patch.

Typically, servers go offline for approximately two hours, sometimes closer to three hours. This means that the servers should be back online and ready to play at approximately 6 am EST/11 am BST.

Then players will be able to jump into the game, purchase the new Battle Pass and get their first Victory Royales and check out all of the changes that have come to the game, including the addition of Darth Vader and the return of the Baller vehicle to Fortnite for the first time in three years.
