Fortnite: Place alien light communication device on mountain tops challenge guide

Another week and another set of weekly challenges in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7. Aliens have come to the Fortnite island, bringing lots of fun and wacky mechanics to the game including UFOs and the Mothership abducting players, it certainly has the old school Fortnite vibe which a lot of players are happy about.

Here is how to complete Place alien light communication device on mountain tops.

Place alien light communication device on mountain tops

Towards the south and south east part of the map are various mountains where players can place alien light communication devices.

Two of these can be found south of Misty Meadows, one at the weather station, and one on the mountain east of Retail Row.

Check out the map below for their locations.

Choose two of these to place the devices on and once done the challenge will unlock. We chose the one east of Retail Row and the weather station as this is a fairly decent looting run at the start of a match.

Loot the weather station at the start of the match to defend yourself. Place the first one directly north of the weather station overlooking Catty Corner, head north east through the area with lots of tents and head to the mountain east of Retail Row to place the second one.

You could also do it backwards with you looting Retail Row first then heading to the weather station. You could do it without looting but other players will likely be completing the challenge too if you are doing it in the days after the challenges go live.

Week 3 Epic Quests

Here are the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 week 3 Epic Quests.

• Dance near a lit campfire (1)
• Catch fish at fishing spots (5)
• Destroy boats (3)
• Glide 20 meters while holding a chicken (20)
• Finish in the top 10 (1)
• Travel between Porta-Potties (1)
• Use Nuts and Bolts (3)

Each Epic Quest is worth 30,000 XP, giving a total of 210,000 XP, or around 2 and a half levels of the Battle Pass.

Week 3 Legendary Quests

Here are the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 week 3 Legendary Quests.

• Get Slone’s orders from a Payphone (1)
• Converse with Sunny, Joey, or Beach Brutus (1)
• Place welcome signs in Pleasant Park and Lazy Lake (4)
• Place Boomboxes in Believer Beach (2)
• Place alien light communication device on mountain tops (2)
• Collect cat food (2)

In total, players can earn 150,000 XP from the week 3 Legendary Quests, around 2 levels towards the Battle Pass. But, be fast because these challenges are only available until Wednesday, June 30th before they will disappear.
