Fortnite Jungle Hunter Challenges – Complete Guide

Fortnite Jungle Hunter Challenges are finally here in their entirety, giving players the option to acquire Predator and all of the related rewards that come with it. Below we’ll go over the challenges, how to complete them and the rewards you’ll get.

Predator was finally revealed as the secret skin of Season 5 when the first set of the Jungle Hunter Challenges were released over a week ago. When the remaining Jungle Hunter Challenges released though, we were actually given the challenge to unlock Predator.

First, we’ll go over the original set of Jungle Hunter Challenges that were released before we go over the the second set, as they are much harder and different from each other.

For this we’ll call them First Set and Second Set.

Fortnite Jungle Hunter Challenges – First Set

Originally, Fortnite only released 3 Jungle Hunter Challenges the day before Week 7 challenges went live. Then the following week Fortnite released the remaining Jungle Hunter Challenges, again a day before the weekly challenges.

Doing it in this manner gave players a lot to do two days in a row, two weeks in a row. Personally, I enjoyed them doing it this way but I also enjoyed how they incorporated secret skin challenges in previous seasons.

Previously, challenges would be released about one a week, then maybe a few extra challenges relating to the secret skin towards the end of the season.

However, keeping the secret skin a secret this season for so long should be applauded.

Now, let’s go over the details of the first set of Jungle Hunter Challenges.

The first set of challenges given to players are as follows:

• Collect 3 Med Kits
• Find mysterious pod
• Talk with Dummy, Beef Boss and Remedy

Collect Med Kits

This should be the easiest part of these challenges as you can find Med Kits all over the map from chests and just lying around and you also don’t need to carry 3 at once, so keep that in mind as well. Simply pick up a Med Kit 3 times and the challenge will be completed.

Find Mysterious Pod

The mysterious pod referenced is the spaceship of the secret skin, Predator, which can be found at Stealthy Stronghold as shown below.

Simply walking up to the mysterious pod will unlock the challenge, no need to interact with anything. There may even be a chest inside the mysterious pod located at Stealthy Stronghold.

Fortnite Jungle Hunter: Talk With Dummy, Beef Boss and Remedy

For this part of the challenge you’ll need to talk with 3 NPCs on the island that have each had an interesting experience with Predator.

Dummy

Dummy is the crash test dummy that can be found at Compact Cars or slightly southeast of Stealthy Stronghold.

Beef Boss

The next NPC you’ll need to talk with is Beef Boss, the mascot of Durr Burger. You can find this NPC at either Durr Burger, attached to Logjam Woodworks, or about 100 feet north of a rock formation above Pleasant Park at Durr Burger Food Truck.

Remedy

The final NPC you’ll need to talk to for this challenge can be located at either Craggy Cliffs at a small building at the entrance to the only road in and out of town. The other location for this character is at a house that has been stocked up with medical supplies, Hilltop House.

Hilltop House is located northeast of Pleasant Park.

Jungle Hunter Challenges – Second Set

These challenges are a little different from the previous set, mostly because they almost all need to be completed as Predator. In order to unlock the skin though, you will need to defeat Predator as he is now a powerful boss on the map.

Below, we’ll detail the challenges and what must be done to complete them and what reward each challenge will earn you.

• Collect a legendary weapon or rarer – Predator loading screen
• Defeat Predator – Predator
• As Predator visit Predator’s Apartment at Hunters Haven – Bio-Helmet Online emote
• Complete a bounty as Predator – Hunter’s Trophy backbling
• Spend 30 seconds within 10 meters of another player as Predator – Yautja Wristblades harvesting tool
• Deal damage with thermal vision as Predator – Hunter’s Arsenal wrap

Collect a Legendary Weapon or Rarer

This challenge may be set up to get earned as you complete the next challenge, Defeat Predator, because he drops a legendary item, Predator’s Cloaking Device. This device allows you to become invisible for a short period of time with a 30 second cooldown before it can be used again. However, switching weapons, entering water or taking damage will disable it.

Although killing Predator to complete this challenge isn’t necessary so you can simply acquire a Legendary or Mythic weapon another way and complete it as well.

Fortnite Jungle Hunter: Defeat Predator

In order to complete the rest of Jungle Hunter Challenges, you’re going to need to defeat Predator because this particular challenge earns you the skin itself.

Predator is quite strong and will more than likely be using his cloaking device to hide so he can strike when you’re least expecting it.

Doing this with as a duo, trio or squad is highly recommended.

Visit Predator’s Apartment

For this part of the challenge, you’re going to want to head to Hunters Haven and visit this apartment, on the northeast of the named location, shown below.

Fortnite Jungle Hunter: Complete a Bounty as Predator

This part of the challenge should be no problem at all, simply accept any bounty while using the Predator skin and complete it to complete this challenge. This can be anything from eliminate another player to search ammo boxes, depending on which NPC you talk to.

I also realized if your bounty on another player gets poached, you still get the completed challenge and reward.

Spend 30 Seconds Within 10 Meters of Another Player

As Predator, probably easiest with Predator’s Cloaking Device, you need to be within 10 meters of another players for a total of 30 seconds.

This can be completed across several games, if necessary.

Deal Damage With Thermal Active as Predator

For this part of the challenge, you’re going to need to consume a Thermal Fish and deal a set amount of damage while this vision perk is enabled.

I recommend holding at least one in your inventory and eat if before dropping in on an opponent to complete this challenge as fast and as easy as possible.
