Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 will go live on Sunday

The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 event has concluded the current chapter and now players are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Chapter 3, which will bring a new map, a new graphics overhaul, and plenty of new weapons and items to use for the first time.
Normally, the update day for Fortnite typically falls on a Tuesday, which has led many people to assume that the start of Chapter 3 would arrive on December 7th.
But new leaks suggest that it could be coming much sooner, as early as tomorrow, Sunday, December 5th.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 could begin tomorrow
Prominent leakers in the Fortnite community, such as HYPEX and iFireMonkey, have revealed that Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 is expected to launch on Sunday, December 5th at 10 am EST/3 pm GMT.
This is interesting because this will mark the first time in the game’s four-year history that a new season has begun on a weekend. There were rumors that a previous season would begin on Sunday but it ended up being released the following week.
While it hasn’t officially been confirmed by Epic Games yet, many signs point to it which makes it the likely scenario that will play out.
Epic Games is currently revealing the Chapter 3 map slowly as players on Twitter use the hashtag #FortniteFlipped, at the time of writing this it is 29% revealed.
What to expect in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1
The Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 trailer was accidentally leaked earlier today which gives us a look at what to expect from the new season.
We get a look at many of the new POIs that are coming to the game, with many seeming to be similar to Chapter 1 locations, such as Tilted Towers, Moisty Mire, and Paradise Palms.
Along with the recognizable locations is a brand new Battle Pass that includes Marvel’s Spider-Man, along with his iconic web-swinging ability, which we assume will be an item.
The Foundation, a member of The Seven, was also revealed to be coming to the Battle Pass and during the Season 8 live event we discovered that behind the helmet is none other than WWE legend and Hollywood star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, we hope that a maskless style will be available for The Foundation skin.
But, when it comes to collaborations that’s not all, it has been confirmed in the trailer that characters from the Gears of War series will be coming to the game.

One of the most popular mechanics in the Gears of War series, and many other shooters, is a sliding mechanic which has been rumored to be coming to the game for some time but we finally got to see it in action in the trailer and it looks like it’ll be a lot of fun to use.
