Cancelled Fortnite Lady Gaga skin revealed in Epic Games vs Apple case
Collaborations have begun a large part of Fortnite, with characters and people from all corners of entertainment being featured in the game, from music artists such as Travis Scott and Marshmello, to superheroes including Batman and Iron Man, to video game characters such as Ryu, Chun-Li, and the Master Chief.
One mega-star singer that was rumoured to be coming to the game was Lady Gaga, the singer known for songs such as Bad Romance and Born This Way.
It turns out though, Lady Gaga was meant to be come to Fortnite but her inclusion was cancelled due to the current global pandemic.

In October 2019, Lady Gaga randomly released a tweet saying “What’s fortnight”, this was immediately after the black hole event while the game was making international news, so it was possible she was confused about the news coverage.
But, many fans immediately began speculating that she was coming to Fortnite as a collaborative skin as part of the Icon Series.
Those fans were actually correct with their theories and she was due to be coming to the game. Perhaps not at this point, it is possible that this was the catalyst to begin discussions with Epic Games. The tweet has garnered over 940,000 likes, which shows the reach she has as an artist and it could have helped Epic Games tap into a new audience that may be given a reason to try the game.

In a leaked document from the current Epic Games vs Apple lawsuit, it was revealed that Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, and J Balvin were set to take part in three virtual consoles in the Party Royale mode.
The original plan was to reveal the crossover between Lady Gaga and Fortnite in December 2020, but that was cancelled and the collaboration seemingly has been scrapped.
It has also been leaked that other planned collaborations included the likes of the NBA and The Rock.
No official model has been released by Epic Games, and its not clear as to whether the collaboration has been cancelled, as well as whether Epic will address this now that it has become public knowledge.
