Sledgehammer Games‘ Call of Duty Vanguard is finally here and a fan-favourite weapon is making a return – of course, we’re talking about the M1 Garand! This iconic semi-automatic rifle is going to be classed as a Marksman Rifle in Vanguard. It’s easily one of the best in class, offering a fairly adaptable Tactical Rifle – who would want to miss out on that ping, either! Here are the best Vanguard loadout including the M1 Garand and everything else you need to know about the weapon.

Vanguard’s M1 Garand – Marksman Rifle

The M1 Garand is a staple, reliable choice for those of you out there with a keen eye and a quick trigger finger. You can fire it fast – but there is a limit – and it’s got fantastic damage falloff range and hits hard when you land your shots. Like any Marksman Rifle, though, it has its drawbacks.

Firstly, it’s a Marksman Rifle. The M1 Garand, no matter your loadout, isn’t going to be as useful at closer ranges as an Assault Rifle, Submachine Gun, or Shotgun. Similarly, a Sniper Rifle is going to be handier at longer ranges. The M1 Garand does have recoil and that’s evident when trying to land quick successive shots down a lane. It’s manageable, but you need to be conscious of controlling it.
